7ic1 Fuels
1 Fill in the gaps in these sentences using words from the box.
Fuels are stores of Chemicals or nuclear energy. Coal, oil .
and natural gas are called Fossil fuels. They are formed from the remains of
plants and Animals . The remains were buried under layers of
rock , and took millions of years to turn into fuel. We use fossil
fuels and nuclear fuels in power stations to generate
electricity . They are non-renewable ls because they cannot be
replaced once they are used up.
Biofuels are fuels made from plants , wastes from animals or used
cooking oil. They are renewable fuels, because they will not run out.
