The learners should be able to use the advanced features of a slide presentation tool to
create a multimedia presentation with text, graphics, and photos; hyperlinked elements;
animation; and embedded audio and/or video (TLEIE60i-15).

A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson
The teacher will present series of presentation about different topics in each subject.
Then, the pupils will identify the appropriate word to describe the presentation.
Processing Questions:
The teacher will present the lesson to the class using a PowerPoint presentation and
manila paper as visual aids. The teacher will let the pupils compare and contrast the two
presentations. The pupils will identify the advantages of using PowerPoint presentation and
Manila paper as visual aids. After, the pupils will choose if which is better and defend their
arguments.
The teacher will divide the class into groups depending on the availability of the
computers. Then, each group will be seated together to the activity.
The teacher will discuss about the advanced features of Microsoft PowerPoint that allows
the pupils to have more control over their presentation, from the design stage up to delivery.
Slide transitions are motion effects that happen during Slide Show when you move from
one slide to the next.
1. Click the slide in the Thumbnail pane that you want to apply a transition to.
2. Click the Transitions tab.
3. In the Transitions gallery, click the More options.
4. Click the transition effect that you want for that slide.
Animations are motion effects to text, pictures or shapes on the slides.
1. Select the text or object on the slide that you want to animate.
2. Click Animations tab.
3. Click Add Animation in the Advanced Animation group.
4. Select the animation effect. To see more effects, click More Entrance Effects,
More Emphasis Effects, More Exit Effects or More Motion Paths.
Embedding means storing the files in the presentation itself. The files become part of the
presentation file even if you move it, but it will make the presentation file larger.
1. Select the slide where you want to embed audio or video into.
2. Click the Insert tab.
3. In the Media group, do any of the following:
To embed an audio, click Audio. Select Online Audio if the file you are
going to embed is online. On the other hand, select Audio on my PC if the
file you are going to embed is in your computer.
To embed a video, click Video. Select Online Video if the file you are
going to embed is online. On the other hand, select Video on my PC if the
file you are going to embed is in your computer.
Remember that linking a sound or video file to your presentation means storing them outside the
presentation. The files are not part of the presentation. Hence, the presentation file is smaller than
that of a presentation having an embedded sound or video file. So when you move your
presentation file, make sure to move the sound or video file as well.
The class will be divided into 11 groups. Each group will be assigned to a certain
computer for them to make their PowerPoint Presentation.
Each group will be making a PowerPoint Presentation following transition, animation,
hyperlink and embedding.
They will be given a rubric on how they will be graded.

The pupils will roam around the ICT room to check and look into the PowerPoint Presentation
made by their classmates.
