HISTORICAL SAGA
Moradabad Institute of Technology (MIT) was established in the year 1996 by Moradabad Educational Trust with
four trustees’ viz. Mr. Sudhir Gupta, Mr. Y.P. Gupta, Mr. Adarsh Agarwal and Mr. Anil Kumar Agarwal. Later on,
in 1998, three more trustees also joined viz. Mr. Neeraj Agarwal, Mr. Arvind Goel and Mr. Pradeep Jain.
MIT is among the first three degree engineering colleges established in U.P. under the self-financing Scheme
of Govt. of India. In the beginning, in 1996, the Institute had three B.Tech. Programs with an intake of 160
students only. In subsequent years other programs were added. Presently the Institute runs Eight B.Tech.
programs, viz., Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering with AI & ML, Computer
Science & Engineering with Data Science, Computer Science & Engineering with IoT, Electronics &
Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Besides
B.Tech. Programs, the Institute is also running MBA, B. Pharm., D.Pharm, M.Pharm and B. Voc. Courses. We
are also starting BBA, BCA & MCA Courses w.e.f. 2024-2025.
In 2021 MIT got accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘A’ for 5 years. Currently our CS&E and ME programs are
accredited by NBA Govt. of India. Also our these programs along with Electronics and Communication
Engineering were accredited by the NBA, Government of India thrice in 2004, 2007, 2011.
Two more colleges, Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Pharmacy were started in the year 2009 leading to
formation of MIT Group of Institutions (MITGI). In the year 2019, College of Pharmacy was also added to MIT
Group of Institutions (MITGI). In year 2022 MIT World School is added to the group. MITGI ranks at a high
positions amongst institutions affiliated to the University (AKTU, Lucknow). Our Alumni are working around the
globe in leading industries and MNCs. Institutions in MIT campus are marching ahead on the glorious path of

MESSAGE FROM
SHRI Y. P. GUPTA, CHAIRMAN
Dear MITGI & MITWS Family,
I feel honored to write these line for Admission – special issue, our anxiety always remains, as how
MIT Campus, may be converted into a highly recognized campus of Technical Education, in this
worldwide known “Brass City” of Moradabad and in western part of largest state of India – Uttar
Pradesh.
To achieve above herculine goal, we have to work strngious hard work on following issues within
next six months positively.
A (a) 100% admissions of sanctioned intake in all streams i.e. in four core Engineering branches,
Management and all Computer Engineering branches of 360 intake.
(b) 100% admission of both the Pharmacy college i.e. “MIT College of Pharmacy & MET Faculty of
Pharmacy”.
(c) 100% growth of MITWS on the strength of previous year i.e. 250 should be increased to 500 as
per commitment of Hon’ble Principal.
B. We must score an honorable position in AKTU i.e. in each above relevant academic streams, we should
achieve in first ten of university positions and overall, the results of 2023-24 should be towards
excellence so that we could get an appreciation letter from Hon’ble Vice Chancellor-AKTU.
We humble request that all above should be considered as mandatory conditions to be achieved.
Once we achieve above targets by September 2024, then the journey of happiness, prosperity and jubilation will start and future of all the Institute in
MIT Campus will be celebrated in GOLDEN-WORDS.
With warm wishes.

EDUCATIONAL TOURS
Of the various methodologies adopted by MET Faculty of Architecture, for its students (most of whom are from
modest backgrounds), to keep abreast of vernacular architecture as well as contemporary developments, is
inclusion of short and long educational tours in their curriculum not because these have been made mandatory by
approving authorities but essentially because, we, at MET Faculty of Architecture, believe that there is absolutely no
alternative to field studies and gaining first-hand experiences.
The students' long educational tours, over the last four years, bear testimony to the aforesaid. Long educational tours
to Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow & Dubai, for students envisaged over the last three years, is a step in the direction of
exposing our students to whatever best is available irrespective of their financial constraints.

ARCHITECTURE AS A CAREER OPTION

With the professional disciplines and institutions having
increased over the last ten years in developing India, the
biggest dilemma of a student, just out of school after
his/her Intermediate (10+2), is choosing a career for
oneself. A student, wishing to pursue a professional
course, now can opt for a career of his choice
commensurating with an individual's aptitude,
competency, attitude, financial constraints and
accessibility. In the present scenario, a very large number
of awakened students are opting for architecture as a
career option because of the freedom and opportunities it

ACADEMICS AND RESEARCH
MESSAGE FROM DEAN ACADEMICS
The Moradabad Institute of Technology (MIT) is one of the leading institutes of Uttar
Pradesh, the Institute offers students a journey of learning and discovery into the ever
growing, evolving and dynamic field of Engineering, Technology and
Management—the fundamental disciplines that underlie contemporary knowledge
creation. Over the years, MIT established itself as a favourite destination for the
students of this region. It has huge infrastructure, fully developed Labs, a library with
wide range of collections and a large armada of highly experienced faculty.
Institute has a conducive teaching, learning and research-oriented environment. It is
a community of dedicated students and teachers whose research expands the
boundaries of our knowledge and imagination, and whose teaching prepares
students for wide-ranging careers and lifelong learning. Our students come from
different walks of life and bring with them high ambitions and dreams to make a
difference in the society. We nurture in them cultural confidence, professional
competence, and versatility to become productive citizens of the country. We inspire
their creative minds and help them to have an international perspective, be it in
DR. KSHITIJ SHINGHAL education, character building or even in sports & cultural activities. It is our
DEAN ACADEMICS endeavour to constantly evolve curriculum support by linking theory with practical
aspects, so our students stay abreast with the latest updates in this technologically
developed world. As a result of which our students were able to secure positions, get research fundings, grants from various
prestigious institutions. Participation in research activities imparts our students two most important skills i.e. creativity and
innovation which equips them with skills required in futuristic Jobs. Some projects received by MIT students and faculty are
evident of our commitment towards research oriented learning.
As an established engineering institution, we are aware of the fact that our responsibility does not cease by just producing the
graduates but help them to get suitable employment during their study tenure. To enhance their employability, we arrange
additional support to empower them with latest technological knowledge. Centre of Excellence, Training Classes ‘Super 30’
from reputed IITians under aegis of external training agency ‘Explorin’ and value addition certifications from reputed
platforms such as Spoken Tutorial- an IIT Bombay Initiative, SWYAM courses NPTEL, Coursera etc. are catering training to
students to achieve this objective. You will be happy to note that the Training and Placement Cell of MIT has been continuously
helping our students to successfully undertake their career with various industries even at leadership positions in
multinational and national companies. We feel proud to announce that in every topmost company you will find an ‘MITian’
sitting at good position for your hand holding.
The mystery of our success is based on our successful implementation of good academic model based on outcome-based
education as per the latest guidelines of ‘New Education Policy’ along with a commitment to provide quality education. The
evidence of which is our excellent performance in National Accreditation Platforms i.e. National Assessment and
Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). As a teaching-learning organization we are focused
on continuous improvement – responsive to community needs and making useful contributions to education, knowledge,
and the society at large. So, once again, We welcome you to the Moradabad Institute of Technology and invite you to be a proud
member of this ever-growing family.
