MECHANICS AND CRITERIA FOR SOLO SINGING CONTEST

MECHANICS:
1. Each Team will select a representative in the said contest.
2. Participants can choose any song either English or Filipino.
3. Contestants must provide their accompaniment and should finish the whole duration of the song.
4. The verdict of the board or jury is final and cannot be changed.

CRITERIA:
 Voice quality (tonality, appropriateness to genre, &technique) - 50%
 Style and Performance (rendition qualities, discipline, timing
and precision, choreography, delivery &interpretation,
appropriateness of staging of the song selected) - 30%
 Over-all Appeal (stage appeal, audience impact, &costume) - 20%
 TOTAL - 100%

MECHANICS AND CRITERIA FOR VOCAL DUET CONTEST

MECHANICS:
1. Participants can choose any song either English or Filipino.
2. The contestants maybe both males, both females, and male and female.
3. Delivery is from 3 to 6 minutes.
4. Contestants must provide their accompaniment in an MP3 file.
5. The clothes to wear must be casual or formal.
6. The contestants must finish the entire duration of the song.
7.The decision of the members of the board of judges is final and
irrevocable.

CRITERIA:

Voice Quality
(tonality, tonal blend and technique) - 50%

Style and Performance


(rendition qualities, discipline, timing and precision, choreography, diction, delivery and interpretation,
appropriateness of staging of song selected, and teamwork) - 30%

Over-all Appeal
(Stage appeal, audience impact, and costume) - 20%

TOTAL - 100%

MECHANICS AND CRITERIA FOR TIKTOK DANCE CONTEST

MECHANICS:

1. Each team may be performed a minimum of 10 up to 20 participants in a group.


2. Any concept used in TikTok is acceptable as long as morally decent. The performance must not contain
any offensive, profane, and/or vulgar words and gestures. No saying of Bad Words or bad actions to the
competing team.
3. The participants must wear an outfit that is appropriate to their TikTok content.
4. The judge’s decision is final.

 Confidence, Presence and showmanship: 50%
 Creativity/Uniqueness: 20%
 Production Quality and Technicalities: 20%

MECHANICS AND CRITERIA FOR YELL CONTEST

MECHANICS:

1. Each team is required to have a yell presentation.


2. Yell must be 3-5 minutes.
3. The competition shall be participated by all members of the team.
4. The use of vulgar language is prohibited and will be subject to disqualification.
5. The use of body movements and lifts is allowed if it will not endanger anyone.
6. The use of drums and other instruments is allowed. Note: The yell must be audible, and not be
overpowered by the sounds produced by the instruments.
7. The use of props is allowed if it will not hinder the next performers. Performers then are expected to clear
the performance area after their respective performances.
8. The decision of the board of judges shall be final and non-appealable.

Creativity 40%
Clarity of voice 30%
Mastery and Timing 20%
Impact 10%
TOTAL 100%

EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEAKING COMPETITION

MECHANICS AND RULES:


1. Each team will have 1 representative to deliver an extemporaneous speech.
2. The topic shall be given on the spot by the committee.
3. The contestants shall be given five (5) minutes to prepare and five (5) minutes to deliver.
4. The contestants are not allowed to have any gadget.
5. A timer accessible to the contestant, judges and audience shall be provided.
6. The contest master is accountable to the sanctification of the competition.
7. There will be a 1-point deduction for every 30-second overtime from the respective judges’ total
score before determining the rank of the contestants.
8. The style of the delivery shall be conversational, oratorical or a combination of both.
9. Dramatic style is considered disqualified.
10. The contestant should casual or formal attire.
11. Use of sound effects, and props is disallowed.
12. After the deliberation of the members of the board of judges, the judges’ decision is final.

CRITERIA:

 Content, clear organization - 35%


 Delivery - 35%
 Pronunciation, enunciation, and diction - 20%
 Stage Presence (eye contact, poise, personality) - 10%

MECHANICS AND CRITERIA FOR MASS DEMONSTRATION CONTEST

1. The competition shall include bona fide member of each team.


2. The number of participants is minimum of 40 members.
3. Each group will perform to any dance music with a minimum of 5 minutes and maximum of 7
minutes including the intro and outro. Beyond this limit, a total of two (2) points will be deducted
from the group’s total score.
4. HAND-CARRY props (within the body) are the only props allowed and dropping of any props is
prohibited to avoid distractions.
5. Break dancing, tumbling and any other form of high-risk steps are NOT ALLOWED. Committing
such acts may result to disqualification.
6. The committee shall inform the judges regarding these guidelines. They also have the right to point
out and inform the judges of prohibited acts or routines even during the performance.
7. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials as props is not allowed.8.
8. Any team proven in violation of the rules & regulations will be automatically disqualified from the
event.
9. Decision of judges is final and non-appealable.

Utilization of formations and transitions
Use of the performance space

Synchronization – 30%
Cohesiveness and precision in timing and movement
Alignment and transitions between dancers

Stage presence and energy of the dancers
Expression and interpretation of the music
Audience engagement and overall showmanship

Costumes and Props – 10%


Visual impact, design, and cohesiveness
Functionality and safety of costumes and props
