OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE

INSTRUCTIONS
AHU-FCU SYSTEM

In parallel with the installation process, the operation guidance and technology transfer to the
investor for the investor to make good use and exploit all the preeminent features of the
equipment are indispensable responsibilities of our contractor.
During the installation period, the contractor will request the investor to appoint officials and
workers who are expected to take over the use of the system to monitor the installation until
completion. The above staff and workers will work with the contractor's technical staff to complete
the calibration and participate in the test run of the system.
The construction contractor will organize a session to guide all individuals who will be
responsible for operating and maintaining the AHU-FCU system during future operation.
In addition, the investor is also provided with all construction drawings of the system.

A. OPERATION SEQUENCE OF AHU-FCU AIR SYSTEM.


1. Pre-commissioning inspection
Before turn on any equipment in system, inspection works to each items below
mentioned should be done.
- Check power supply to equipment.
- Motor and fan completed and with out any obstruction.
- Check Drain pan condition and drainage.
- Check supply power connection to thermostat.
- Check damper status (open).
- Check the operating condition of the valve on the pipeline:
+ Gate valve : for gate valves if there is no problem that needs to be
replaced, it is always open when the device is operating
+ Electric valve: check the operating status of the valve, the ON / OFF
position of the electric valve is correct according to the set up of the system
+ Automatic exhaust gas valve: check whether the operation status of
the exhaust valve is still good, is there a phenomenon of sealing the exhaust head
+ Y filter: install Y filter in the right direction and position according to the
principle
+ Butterfly valve: check the opening and closing status of the valve in
accordance with the positions to open and close.
+ Balancing valve: check that the valve is installed correctly on the return
water line, the parameters are set up correctly with the approved calculated value
- Check the status and condition of the pressure gauge cluster, especially the filter
differential gauge in the return chamber: the initial value of the filter (G4-F8) is about
50-200pa and after a period of use when the pressure gauge is above 400pa, then we
need to clean or replace the filter

2. System operation
a) For AHU SYSTEM

- Proceed to turn on the AHU fan by closing the power supply MCB and pressing the
Start button of the inverter. The frequency of the inverter has been set to ensure the
air velocity and room pressure, not self- adjusting the frequency, want to adjust
must have the permission of technical staff.
- Proceed to turn on the dehumidifier by closing the MCB of the dehumidifier.
- AHU dehumidifying block will automatically run if the main outdoor unit runs but has
not reached the required humidity
- If the temperature and humidity in the room is higher than the set temperature, the
outdoor unit will automatically run after the installation period (installation time to
ensure compressor has time to rest, to ensure compressor life). . The adjustment of
temperature, humidity, rest time of the compressor requires the permission of
technical staff.

b) For FCU SYSTEM


- Turn on the MCB of FCUs including indoor units and outdoor units
- Set temperature modes, wind speed.... On the control panel
- Do not turn off indoor units directly with aptomat located in the electrical cabinet, but
turn off indoor units with control.
- Carefully read the company's manual catalog attached to the device.
B. TROUBLESHOOTING INSTRUCTIONS AND CLEANING EQUIPMENT
1. Problems offen occur with systems

2. Instructions for cleaning filters G4, F8


Filtration is an important equipment that is widely used, efficient and flexible in production
technology. Therefore, the maintenance, cleaning and timely replacement of filters should be
paid attention to.
For G4 filter: Installation location in return air chamber, fresh air AHU, fresh air box. It
should be checked and cleaned regularly once a week if used in an area that generates a lot
of dust during the production process or when the temperature in the room changes a lot
after a period of use.
For filter F8: Installation location at the AHU return air chamber. The filter is installed
to protect the refrigerant coil from contamination that loses cold performance and at the same
time traps large dust particles before entering the room
For dirty filtration: Check against the pressure difference gauge before and after filtration
(pressure loss through filter). This meter is installed at the AHU, for easy and convenient
inspection
When filtering new, this pressure difference is from 50 Pa to 200 Pa.
When the pressure difference is above 400 Pa, it is necessary to clean by washing with
water, drying or blowing compressed air to remove dust and then install it back into the AHU.
When the filter is cleaned many times and can no longer be reused, it is necessary to remove
and install a 100% new filter.
When filtration is dirty, it should be cleaned immediately without waiting for the periodic
cleaning time

Steps to clean the air filter
- Tool
 Pressurized water spray nozzle
 Clean towels
 Drying cabinet
- Operation performed
 Use a water spray, spray to wash the filter surface and aluminum frame until no dust
remains on the surface.
 Use a clean towel, dry the aluminum frame
 Arrange the sanitized filter frames into drying or drying cabinets
 Drying temperature : 50 – 60°C
 Drying time : 2 – 4 hour
