Grade & Section: XII-St. Lioba Subject: Theology

1. Attending Mass with Respect: The Holy Mass is a sacred practice in the Catholic faith. As a
student at a Catholic school like St. Scholastica's Academy - Tabunok, it is important to
treat the Mass with the proper respect it deserves. This means not attending the Mass
solely for attendance but to understand the gospel of the Lord. Additionally, this respect
involves responding appropriately to the priest, listening attentively to the homily,
avoiding loud conversations with others, and honoring the sanctity of the Mass.

2. Courtesy and Respect for Elders: Since joining this institution, my classmates and I have
been taught to show respect to those older than us, including the Benedictine sisters,
teachers, administrators, and staff. We were taught to greet them with phrases like "Good
morning/afternoon/evening, Benedicite!" These simple greetings have been ingrained in
me, as well as in other Scholasticans.

3. Setting an Example as a Student Leader: As a member of the Supreme Student

Government for three school years, I have been at the forefront of the student body daily.
Therefore, I practice proper behavior such as maintaining good posture, reciting the vision-
mission statement, Panatang Makabayan, singing the Philippine National Anthem, and the
Academy Hymn. By engaging in these basic practices, I aim to set a positive example for
my fellow Scholasticans on how they should conduct themselves during the morning
assembly.

4. Practicing Lectio Divina: As a Lectio Divina reader, I strive to understand the gospel
deeply; this is essential because I act as a vessel for God's wisdom. It is not enough to
simply read the text; I must also feel and comprehend its message. By doing so, students
who listen to me will also grasp the gospel's meaning. Lectio Divina is divided into four
sections: reading, meditating, praying, and acting. As a reader, I endeavor to practice these
steps to the best of my ability.

5. Participating in the Social Involvement Program: The Social Involvement Program (SIP)
is an annual activity organized by the school to extend outreach efforts for social and
environmental causes. As a Scholastican, I strive to approach this program with gratitude,
empathy, and kindness toward every encounter. SIP enables students to engage with
and connect to communities beyond the school's walls. Therefore, as a student, I aim to
remain open-minded and receptive to diverse experiences. By doing so, I fulfill God's
commandment to love and help my neighbors, whether they are people or the
environment.

6. Practicing Collaboration in Group Activities: In group activities, I prioritize the equal

distribution of tasks among members instead of trying to handle everything myself. The
purpose of group work is to function as a cohesive team rather than as individuals. By
sharing responsibilities and communicating effectively, we create not only a physical
product but also valuable social connections. These essential aspects of group activities
contribute to producing a higher-quality outcome and fostering long-lasting memories
with peers.

7. Embracing Diversity in Group Settings: We all possess unique identities, encompassing

different opinions, personalities, and beliefs. Although misconceptions and
misunderstandings may arise, I make an effort to understand and establish common
ground within my group. As a leader, the ability to comprehend others, convey messages
clearly, and communicate effectively is crucial to the success of a group activity, despite
differences in identity. By focusing on finding common ground, I aim to fulfill what I believe
God desires of me as a leader: promoting unity and collaboration despite our individual
differences.
