STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The significance of Data Analytics in one’s life has always fascinated me, and I have been keen on
statistics and mathematics. Motivated by my passion for statistics and my passion with Data
Analytics, I am an ideal candidate for your university. The numerous possibilities of Data Analytics
enthrall me, and I am eager to expand my knowledge to a progressive level. With help and abilities to
handle demanding tasks and stay on top of technological advancements, a Master's degree in Data
Analytics at the University of Illinois, Springfield will be beneficial to me.

Due to my natural aptitude for numbers and reasoning, I excelled in mathematics and physics ignited
my curiosity about machines. Thus, I decided to follow the path of science and learned how to
connect different motors based on circuit design. I can also design an intricate electronic circuit that
involves various elements like resistors and capacitors. As elating as it was, it initially required a lot
of hours and commitment to be accepted into an Electronics and Communication Engineering degree
and to study a variety of subjects over the course of four years. During my time in college, I studied a
wide range of subjects, including circuit analysis, digital systems, signal processing, and
communication systems.

Furthermore, I worked on various projects, such as ‘Stock Price Prediction Using Machine Learning’
and ‘Fire Alarming and Authentication System for Workhouse.’ Through these projects and
coursework, I gained hands-on experience in designing and troubleshooting electrical circuits,
programming microcontrollers, and analyzing data.

Additionally, I presented a seminar on the future of supersonic jets and attended various seminars and
conferences related to electronics and communication engineering, staying updated with the latest
advancements in the field and connect with professionals and researchers. One conference I attended
focused on the applications of machine learning in signal processing, which was incredibly
fascinating. Having developed research skills, I used them to make a few models and took the first
step into the research world by working on a project. In this project, I built a Fire Alarming and
Authentication System for Work House. a user- friendly application designed for dealing with user
authentication and fire detection. This project helped me augment a deeper understanding of
developing a software application for fire detection and user authentication.

To gain industry exposure, I worked as an intern for a month at IndustryARC. In 2023, I started
working as a full-time as a Digital Marketing Associate, where I handled a variety of marketing-
related projects like lead generation through LinkedIn platform and email marketing projects. Here,
my responsibilities include creating and managing online marketing campaigns, analyzing data and
metrics to optimize performance, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional
teams. While I have not published any papers yet, I am eager to contribute to the academic
community in the future. I am always on the lookout for research opportunities and would like to
explore that avenue during my advanced studies.

Following my Bachelor’s, I have taken online couching on Full Stack Data Science & AI, developing
a strong passion and interest in this field. This experience has ignited my curiosity and deepened my
understanding of the power of data analysis and its impact on decision-making. Pursuing a Master's in
Data Analytics will allow me to further enhance my skills, explore advanced concepts, and contribute
to the ever-evolving field of data science. I am excited to delve deeper into topics such as machine
learning, data visualization, and big data analytics, and apply them to real-world challenges.

Post MS, I aim to secure a position as a Data Scientist or a Data Analyst at a leading technology
company or a research institution. I aim to apply the skills and knowledge gained during my MS in
Data Science to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions. Some companies that align
with my career aspirations include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and IBM. Ultimately, my goal is to
work in a dynamic and challenging environment where I can contribute my expertise and continue to
grow as a data professional. Looking ahead to the long term, I envision myself working as a Chief
Data Officer (CDO) or a Data Science Manager, leading teams and driving data strategies within
organizations such as Netflix, Airbnb, or Tesla. These goals are important to me as they provide a
clear path for continuous growth, learning, and making a meaningful contribution to the field of data
science.

University of Illinois, Springfield, Illinois offers an unparalleled curriculum in the Data Analytics
field. During a Master’s course in Data Analytics, I will get a chance to study subjects like machine
learning, computer science, and mathematics, which will propel me to new heights of knowledge. One
of the highly experienced professors is Hei-Chi Chan, his research interests are Number theory, q-
series, mathematical physics, and mathematics inspired by Srinivasa Ramanujan will give me
industry-centric education and prepare me for a job at dynamic organizations. Thanks to the state-of-
the-art labs and infrastructure, I will better understand the advanced issues and conduct research on
new areas. A handpicked peer group will increase my multi-cultural perception and transform me into
a global citizen.

Besides academics, during my engineering, I represented Telangana state at District Level

Neighborhood Youth Parliament Program and National Service Scheme Unit-I & II. Leading a group
of 100 students for camp organizations manifested me into an organized person and developed a
social interest. Moreover, I oversaw the 1500 students in the workshop during my college's annual
festival, ‘Avirbhav,’ and my dedication to leading a workshop with other college students became a
tremendous success.

Taking on a Master's program in Data Analytics is an exciting challenge, and I am fully prepared for
it. With my passion for analyzing data, problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn, I am ready to
dive headfirst into this field, handle the program’s complexities and make the most of the presented
opportunities.
