CULTURAL TIP
Germans generally say “Guten Tag” meaning good
day to strangers and not “Guten Morgen” which is
said only to known people
They generally do not greet with Sir / Madam as well
To Friends they say Hallo / Hey / Hi
In a formal setup from 6 in the evening they say
“Guten Abend” meaning “Good evening” for
starting a conversation and “Gute Nacht” meaning
“Good Night” to end it
