FSY FINLAND & BALTICS 2024, WELCOME!

Great to have you with us at FSY in Finland this summer! We are looking forward to seeing you all and we
do our best to make this FSY best ever!

The FSY theme this year is:

Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among
his people, that they might have everlasting life. 3 Nephi 5:13

Let’s try to be true disciples of Christ already before FSY and after it!

Place:

The FSY Venue is Pitkäjärvi School in Kangasala, Finland. The street address is Vatialantie 4 A, 36240
Kangasala

Arrival:

You should arrive to FSY on Monday, June 3rd from 11:00 to 13:00. Lunch is available at 12.00 – 13.00.

The Stakes/wards will organize and inform you of the transportation to FSY. If you cannot use the stake
organized transportation, you need to inform your travel arrangements to your Stake representative (see
contact info in the end of this letter). Your home ward will refund travel expenses in case you need to buy
travel tickets or use private cars.

There will be an FSY bus picking up youth arriving by train or bus on Monday June 3 rd. The bus will depart
from the railway station at 11:15.

Departure:

FSY ends on Saturday June 8th. You should leave between 08:30 – 09:30. Buss to Tampere Railway station
will leave at 09:00 and arrive the railway station at 09:30.

What to pack:

- Clean and tidy clothes to daily use and Tuesday dances


- Sunday best for activities on Thursday
- Party dress, tidy clothes for the dance on Friday evening (note: no shoes allowed in gym )
- Pyjamas
- Bed linen, camping/air mattress, blanket or sleeping bag, pillow, etc. for accommodation in school
classrooms
- Sports shoes or convenient shoes for outside sports and activities
- Personal toiletries: Towel, soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, tissues, etc.
- For Variety show numbers: accessories, instruments, or anything else you need for your
performance
- Own headphones, rather with wire, to use with translation devices
- Personal medication
- Some pocket money, in case missing accessories, supplies
- Printed scriptures
- Diary and pen/pencil
- Enough warm clothes – the venue surely is not as warm as you home

If you have questions, ask your Youth Leaders or your Parents for additional guidelines.

During FSY the scriptures have an important role. Please bring your paper copies scriptures with you. In
some classes the teachers might permit you to use the mobile but remember that there are only a few plug
points available to load your mobile.

Please do not bring portable stereos, DVD/CD players, gaming equipment, bicycles, roller blades,
skateboards or similar. Those cannot be used at FSY.

Welcome to FSY. The week will be full of program and friends. Let’s have a week full of spirituality and fun!
