4. My Last Day at School
It was 31st March, 2013 and my result was declared. I stood first in the
class and passed VIII standard. As may present school was upto class
VIII only. I along with other passed students got their transfer
certificates, as it was our last day in this school. The students of class
VIII gave a treat to farewell us. Our principal and teachers also joined
us and gave good wishes to us. Really it was a memorable day for me.
5. The Best Year of My Life
After passing class XII, I was put into a computer institute to undergo
a diploma course in computer application in New Delhi. I stayed in a
hostel of the Government institute for one year. During this period I
learned a lot of computer and made many friends. I visited the famous
tourists spots in and around Delhi. So I can say that it was the best
year of my life.
6. A Magic Show
Last year on 5th September, our school organised a magic show to
entertain the children, because it was children's day. We all the
students along with our teachers sat in the auditorium to watch the
magic show. A famous magician was called, who showed many
wonderful tricks. Children became very happy and thanked the
principal sir for the magic show.
7. A Winter Season
In northern India winter season remains from November to February.
December and January are the earliest months of they year. There is
snow fall on the peaks of maintains. People have to face cold wind
during this season. People wear woollen sweaters, gloves, caps, rocks
etc. to keep themselves safe from cold. People sit near the fire. We
should take hot tea, milk and dry fruits to keeps us healthy during
winter season.
8. A True Friend
Everyone in this world wants to have a friend. A friend is a person who
takes care of you and give you proper guidance and help in the need of
hours. One should be very careful while selecting a friend. Now a days
selfish people become friends and deceive others after gaining their
confidence. A true friend is that who always help his friend when
required. It is rightly said, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”

speed on the highway. All of sudden the boy who was during the car
lost the balance to save a child playing on the road to catch a kite. The
car met with an accident. Both the youngmen got injury and became
unconscious. Nobody came to their help. A juggler was passing on the
road with his chimpanzee. The chimpanzee at once jumped and sat on
the driving seat and drived the car in full speed. I was surprise to see
this scene, a chimpanzee driving a car like an expert drive. Later we
came to know that the two boys were put in the hospital with the help
of a juggler and chimpanzee for treatment. The boys thanked
chimpanzee and jugglers.
3. My father gave me a bicycle as a gift on my last birth. I was quite
happy to get a new red colour cycle. My father warned me not to cycle
on the main road. But I was so excited to ride my new cycle that I took
and went on main road. I felt happy to ride on main. Suddenly a boy
came infront of me, I applied broke but could not save myself to fell
into the roadside ditch. My clothes became dirty and I got an injury in
my knee. My neighbour, who was passing there took me to the doctor
for treatment. My father came to know all this I said, “Sorry Father! I
will never disobey you a gain.”

Ans. 1. A slave ran away from his cruel master. A lion was crying with pain in
the forest because a thorn pinched in its foot. The slave took out the
thorn from his foot. The lion looked with thanks to the slave for the
help. After a few month the slave was caught by his master man. He
was brought before the king for punishment. The king ordered him to
throw before a hungry lion. The lion rushed at him and soon identified
him. He licked his fee. The slave also receognised the lion. King
become very happy to see this scene. He made lion and slave free.
2. A merchant was riding back to his home from a fair. He was having a
large some of money with him. Suddenly the heavy rainfall started and
merchant got wet. He grumbled God for it. Shortly after it he was
attacked by a robber. The robber attempted to shoot him. He failed to
shoot him because his gun powder was damped. The merchant was
escaped. He thanked God for it.

Ans. 1. Pandemonium at the picnic
Last Sunday, we went to a picnic near a candals bank. It is a picnic
spot. The whole class selected this spot as it was having a very
attractive view of a forest, a waterfall as well a mango garden. We took
our music system and started dancing and singing. We created such a
scene that some villagers including man, women and children also
joined us in singing and dancing. They also played their flutes, drums
and banjos. We enjoyed a lot as there was a great pandomonium.
There, we offered snacks to the villagers, in return they offered us a
mango treat. We enjoyed a lot.
2. Going to the Market
On the eve of Diwali festival, I went along with my parents to Abu
Lane, Meerut. It is one of the most beautiful and busiest markets of the
city. All kinds of shops are there. We purchased sweets, readymade
garments, shoes and toys from the market. The market was beautifully
decorated with coloured electric lights. It looks like a paradise on the
earth. We met some of my friends there. We exchanged sweets. My
father brought ice creams for us. We enjoyed visting the market.

3. An old Favourite Book
The Ramayana is one of the holiest books of the Hindus. This book
was originally written by Maharishi Balmiki, who was living in the
same age in which all the incidents of the Ramayana took place. Later
on it was translated in Avadhi Hindi by Goswami Tulsidas is Balmiki
wrote it in the Sanskrit language which was not known to masses.
Ramcharitmanas the Hindu version, written by Tulsidas became very
popular among the people. Later on it was translated into many Indian
and foreign languages. I enjoyed the Ramayana very much because it
is an idea epic. The salient features of this book are as under :
1. Shri Ram was an ideal son, who went to forest to keep his fathers
promise.
2. Laxman, Bharat were ideal brthers who loved and sacrificed
everything for their elder brother Ramchandra.
3. Sita was an ideal wife who faced all the difficulties with her husband
in exile.
4. Hanumanji was a devoted servant of Shri Ram, who served Rama in
his each problem.
5. Sugreev and Vibhishan were ideal friends who helped Rama, in return
Shri Ram also helped them.
6. 'Ram Rajya' was an ideal state where voice of every citizen was given
due value. Now we can say that the Ramayana is the most ideal epic of
the world.
4. A Wedding in the Family
During my summer vacations in the month of June. I went to
Saharanpur to attend the maraige of my cousin Avinash. We reached
there in the afternoon. We proceeded to bride's house in the evening at
8 p.m. with great pomp and show. The bridegroom sat in a well
decorated car. The bands in uniformed marced ahead of baraat.
Children, ladies and some youngmen danced before the baraat on
filmy songs tunes. We were warmly welcomed by the bride's relative
infront of the bouquet hall. The bride and bridegroom exchanged
garlands. We enjoyed cold drinks, snacks and dinner. I was very much
impressed when Panditji read 'mantras' of the marraige ceremony and
explained its importance to both the bride and bridegroom. Seven
rounds around the sacred fired were compled by both. Some of my
cousin's friend were find drunked and made a noise and used foul
language. I did not like it. The bride's father gave many things to bride
to settle her future married life. I enjoyed the events very much except
drunken incident.
5. My Favourite Extra-Curricular Activity-Playing Games
I enjoy playing games during my spare time. Games and sports have a
great importance in the life of students. We get many advantages when

we play games. Some of these which contributed in the development
of my character are as follows :
(a) Games keep our body fit and we enjoy good health if we play it
regularly.
(b) It creates a sense of obedience.
(c) It creates a feeling of cooperation and team spirit which is very
essential for success in future life.
(d) If creates the qualities of leadership.
(e) If provides us entertainment also.
(f) It gives us chance to meet people of different areas and develop
harmony among us.
