SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Overview:
M-Stars, “The Diversified Group of Companies”, seeks a Senior Finance Officer, based in Karachi.
Our aim to provide outstanding quality diversified products to our clients by satisfying their
expectations and maintaining their confidence on a highest level.

The SFO will be responsible for implementing and maintaining an on-site financial and bookkeeping
system required assuring the effective performance of the financial operations.
The SFO will be assisting Finance/Operations Manager, will be responsible for overall financial activities.
S/he will be performing all actions and producing all documents, feedbacks and links that will allow the
HO to achieve its project objectives and provide self-audit and monitoring capacity.

 Responsibilities:
1. Key Accountabilities:
 Preparing Financial Statement, Income Statement, Balance Sheet.
 Scan all financial documents and send the head office for further payments.
 Using manual & computerized book keeping systems to maintain & balance financial records.
 Prepare all purchase requisitions/activity budget for coding and budget adequacy before approval.
 Regularly reporting sales, receivables, expense and any other report required by management.
 Maintain petty cash for routine activities and prepare cash count sheets on a regular basis.
 Review all payments documents of the district for proper coding and supporting documents.
 Review payment vouchers to ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation.
 Keep maintain a tracker for record keeping of all invoices paid to the vendors.
 Keep record in arranged manner so all users can easily get required information in timely manner.
 Ensuring internal control procedures, followed for all cash disbursements, receipts and transfers.
2. Finance:
 Supervise all financial activities done daily in the Accounts department.
 Assist in the implementation of Finance policies, procedures and systems.
 Manage finance staff activities, schedules to meet financial reporting requirements and deadlines.
 Arrange all financial record as per the serial number and type of vouchers and keep them in record
filing room in orderly manner for future review and audit requirements.
 Maintains current knowledge of local government requirements related to financial matters and
ensures compliance with tax regulations and other legal requirements.
 Closely monitors all financial activities and keeps the finance manager advised on all situations
which have the potential for a negative impact on internal controls or financial performance.

 Essential Qualification:
 Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Management (Specialization
in Accounting & Finance) from HEC recognized University / Foreign University.
 Professional Experience:
 Minimum 03 years of experience in accounting and finance.
 Experience in cash-based transactions and disbursement.
 Proficient in report writing and documentation and data analysis.
 Excellent Computer Skills – Advanced Excel, Quick-Books, Tally, Peach-Tree.
 Behavioral Skills and Competencies:
The candidate must have the following qualities:
 Good Interpersonal and Communication skills.
 Ability to work in challenging environment.
 Knowledge of multiple languages will be an added advantage.
 Excellent spoken and written local language /Urdu and English language skills.
 Ability to autonomously travel both nationally & internationally when required.
 Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and
frustrating working conditions like long distance walking to work/distribution sites.
