Tip #1

Use sensory words

Sensory words help create vivid images in the
reader’s mind, making your writing more
memorable and engaging.

Instead of saying,

“I designed a new interface,”

say,

“I crafted a visually striking interface with vibrant

colors and smooth animations that delighted users.”

Describe user feedback in sensory terms, such as,

“Users reported feeling instantly at ease with the
intuitive and tactile design.”
Tip #2

Leverage curiosity
Piquing curiosity can draw readers deeper into
your portfolio.

Use teaser headlines for case studies:

“How a Simple Change Led to a 50% Increase in

Engagement.”

Create cliffhangers:

“The user feedback revealed something surprising…”

Tip #3

Use the PAS formula

(Problem-Agitate-Solution)
This formula helps to highlight the pain points
and how you effectively solved them.

Problem: “Users were struggling to find key

information on the app.”

Agitate: “This led to frustration and a high bounce

rate, affecting user satisfaction and retention.”

Solution: “By redesigning the navigation and

implementing a search function, we improved
usability and saw a 40% increase in engagement.”
Tip #4

Use the inverted pyramid style

Start with the most important information and
then drill down to the details.

Begin case studies with key outcomes:

“Increased user retention by 50%.”

Follow with context and process:

“This was achieved by…”

Tip #5

Use power words

Power words evoke emotions and drive action.

Use words like “Boost,” “Transform,” “Unleash,”

“Innovative,” etc., in headlines and descriptions.

Example:

“We unlocked new levels of user engagement with

our redesign.”
Tip #6

Highlight benefits,

not just features

Focus on the benefits your work provides, not
just the features.

Instead of saying,

“The app has a new navigation bar,”

say,

“The new navigation bar helps users find what they

need faster, enhancing their overall experience.”
Tip #7

Emphasize emotional impact

Highlight the emotional impact of your work to
connect on a deeper level.

“Users felt a sense of relief and satisfaction using the

streamlined interface.”

“The redesign not only improved functionality but

also instilled confidence in our brand.”
