1) CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
This Contract will enter in force in the date and port of embarkation. The employee shall be employed
under the term and conditions laid out in the National, Flag state Regulations and in the Collective
Bargain Agreement (CBA) named 'Collective Agreement for Non-Doms Italian International Register
Vessels duly approved by Unions on 16/12/2020 that shall be considered to be incorporated into and
form part of this contract and where conditions in the content of this contract is not in compliance with
national rules, those will prevail. This contract is in Compliance with all Amendments of MLC 2006
included the 2018 Amendments to the Maritime Labor Convention, 2006.

2) PROBATORY PERIOD
As per article 3.1 of the CBA the first three months of service during the first term of employement with
the shipowner shall be regarded as probationary and both the seafarer and the shipowner shall be
entitled to termitate the employement prior to expiry of the contract during this period. In such event the
cost of repatriation shall be the responsability of the party who gives notice of termination but the
compensation for earlier termination of empoyement provided in Article 19.4 shall not apply.

3) WAGES
The monthly amount will be calculated and will be paid on a monthly base in accordance with article 10 of
the CBA, in USD
The Seafarer shall receive his monthly wage as per following conditions :

4) TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
The employment agreement shall expire: a) upon expiry of the agreed period of service established in
article 3 of present Contract and 5 of the CBA; b) after 12 months of service on board; c) when signing
off due to sickness or injury, after medical examination in accordance with national rules. The
employment agreement shall expire also for reasons listed in article 19 of the CBA, where applicable The
employment agreement shall continue to have effect while a seafarer is held captive on or off the ship as
a result of piracy or armed robbery against ships, regardless of whether the date fixed for its expiry has
passed or either party has given notice to suspend or terminate it. For the purpose of this article the
terms “piracy” and “armed robbery against ships” shall have the meaning indicated by Standard A2.1 of
MLC, 2006 as amended

5) HOURS OF WORK AND REST


The normal hours of duty of All Seafarers shall be 8 (eight) per day, Monday to Friday inclusive and 4
(four) on Saturday, totalling 44 (forty-four) per week (191 per month), as per art.6 of the CBA.
Additional working hours and compensation for Saturday and Sunday will be paid by Guaranteed
Overtime/Weekend Compensation in accordance with article 7 and 7 bis of CBA. In line with international
rules and with article 9 of CBA, each seafarer shall have a minimum of 10 hours rest in any 24 hours
period and 77 hours in a seven-day period. The hours of rest may be divided into no more than two
periods, one of which shall be at least 6 hours in length, and the interval between consecutive periods of
rest shall not exceed 14 hours. A short break of less than 30 minutes will not be considered as a period of
rest.

6) CERTIFICATES
The Seafarer must have all the certificates required to sign-on this vessel as per International Convention
on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended issued by the
Government of his county. Original STCW and medical examination certificates must be carried onboard
as prescribed by international rules.

7) TRAVELLING EXPENSES AND ENTITLEMENT TO LEAVE


Joining and repatriation expenses will be borne by the Company in accordance with article 20. In case
Seafarer sign off for misconduct in accordance with article 21 of CBA or the seafarer sign-off for his own
will in accordance with article 21.3 of the CBA the Company have the right to recover repatriation
expenses from the seafarer.
Travelling expenses when advanced by the Seafarer will be returned provided supporting vouchers are
presented
8) LEAVE
The seafarer shall be entitled to a monthly payment of leave pay a indicated in article 3 of present
contract and article 12 of CBA for each completed month of service or pro rata

9) HEALTH AND SOCIAL SECURITY PROTECTION BENEFITS


The Company will provide to the Seafarer health and social security benefits like medical attention, sick
pay, maternity, disability compensation, loss of life compensation and insurance coverage in accordance
with CBA article 22-23-24-25-26-27.

10) COMPLAINT PROCEDURES


In line with Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 the seafarer has the right to lodge a complaint and to
have that complaint investigated if he consider that a fact constitute a breach of seafarers' rights under
present contract of employment, CBA or regulation on the Maritime Labour Convention.
The seafarer with a complaint shall have the possibility to do address a complaint to the proper authority
on board, such as the Immediate Supervisor, the Head of Department and the Master in accordance with
on board complaint procedures.
The seafarer has the right to move a complaint ashore as per Maritime Labour Convention, 2006

11) DECLARATIONS
The Seafarer agrees to comply with the 'Drug and Alcohol policy' implemented by the Company on board
the vessels and will sign the relevant declaration after having been made aware of the contents of this
policy.
The undersigned declare that has read and understood the content of this contract and the CBA and
declare to have had the opportunity to review and seek advice on terms and conditions in the agreement
and freely accept them.
