Alerts
View Triggered Alerts
The Triggered Alerts view provides details for all alerts. Use this feature to ensure that issues are addressed as soon
as they arise. Once a triggered alert is no longer required it can be deleted. The view can be filtered by severity, and
the search box can be used to find an alert.
1. Select Monitoring > Alerts
2. Click the Triggered alerts tab
3. Click All to view the filter settings
4. Check the boxes to select alerts
5. Click Delete to delete selected alerts
6. Click the link in the Alert info column to view more information for an alert

Manage Alert Definitions
You can customize alert functions by enabling or disabling an alert definition, deleting an alert definition, and defining
which users or user groups receive notifications.
1. Select Monitoring > Alerts
2. Click the Alerts definitions tab
3. Check the boxes to enable desired alert
4. Click the name of the alert definition to view its settings

10. Click Edit to define the notification recipients when the alert is triggered
11. Choose the notification delivery type
12. Enter the username, user group, or email for recipients Use the SMTP email address for non-registered users
or groups
13. Click Save to save the recipients of this alert

Create an Alert Definition
Several alert types are available for which a value or condition can be set. The alert is triggered when the value is
reached, or the condition met. Notifications can be configured for an alert for additional visibility.
1. Select Monitoring > Alerts
2. Click the Alerts definitions tab
3. Click Add alert definition

6. Enter a username, user group, or email address in the search field and add the recipient
7. Format the body of the notification as needed and Click Finish to save the alert

Reports
View Reports
An administrator can quickly import, customize, and share reports for their environment. Additional reports are
available in the Commvault Store. This set of tools allows an organization to ensure the proper functioning of the
environment and optimize performance.

Schedule a Report
Once a report is downloaded and installed it can be scheduled to be published to a web page or sent via email.
1. Select Reports and click the Report icon
2. Select More actions, then click Schedule
3. Enter a name
4. Choose the export format
5. Enter a username, user group, or email address for recipients; use the SMTP email address for non-
registered users
6. Toggle on Save to network location to save a copy of the report network share
7. Choose the frequency to run the report

Edit or Delete a Report
1. Select Reports
2. Select More actions and then click Edit or Delete
3. The Edit option uses report builder to customize the report queries and display elements

Health Reports
Health Reports provide insights for overall system health of a CommCell. Use this report periodically to view critical
issues, issues that need attention, functions that are working well, and general information about the CommCell
environment. Each window pane includes a section that describes the issue at the top and provides recommendations
for troubleshooting.
