: QUARTILES, DECILES & PERCENTILES :
*Quartiles : The values of variable which divided an arrayed set of observations into four(4) equal parts are
known as quartiles.
Obviously, there are three quartiles of a distribution. These quartiles are called- First Quartile / Lower
Quartile, Second Quartile / Middle quartile (Second Quartile is known as the Median) and Third Quartile /
Upper Quartile. And they are denoted by Q1 , Q2 and Q3 respectively.
The method of 2nd quartiles is basically the same as that of the Median. Computations of the lower and
