Direct and Indirect sentences Date: ________________

A direct sentence is a type of sentence where the subject performs the action directly on
the object. It usually follows a simple subject-verb-object (SVO) structure while the indirect
sentence, on the other hand, does not directly state the subject performing the action on
the object. Instead, it often includes an additional phrase or clause to convey the action
indirectly.

A Rewrite the following sentences, changing them from direct speech to indirect
speech. Remember to make necessary changes in pronouns, tenses, and word
order.
