El marketing turístico es el conjunto de estrategias
y acciones que se llevan a cabo para promover y
vender productos o servicios turísticos a un público
objetivo. Su objetivo principal es atraer visitantes
a un destino, hotel, atracción o evento, y fomentar
el consumo de experiencias y bienes relacionados con
el turismo. El marketing turístico se basa en
principios y técnicas del marketing tradicional,
pero se adapta a las necesidades y características
específicas del sector turístico.

Las principales actividades que abarca el marketing
turístico incluyen:
▪ Investigación de mercado: Comprender las
necesidades y deseos de los turistas potenciales,
así como identificar tendencias y oportunidades en
el mercado turístico.

▪ Segmentación de mercado: Dividir el mercado en


grupos más pequeños con características y
preferencias similares para poder dirigir mensajes
y ofertas más personalizados.

▪ Posicionamiento: Definir cómo se quiere que el
producto o destino turístico sea percibido por los
consumidores en relación con la competencia.

▪ Desarrollo de productos turísticos: Crear o


mejorar productos y servicios turísticos que
satisfagan las necesidades de los segmentos de
mercado identificados.

▪ Marca y comunicación: Construir y gestionar la
imagen de marca del destino o empresa turística, y
comunicar los mensajes clave a través de diversos
canales de marketing.

▪ Promoción: Utilizar herramientas de promoción como


publicidad, relaciones públicas, marketing digital
(incluyendo redes sociales, email marketing, SEO y
SEM), ferias turísticas y eventos para dar a
conocer los productos o destinos turísticos.

▪ Distribución: Establecer canales de distribución
eficaces, tanto offline como online, para que los
turistas puedan acceder y reservar los productos
turísticos.

▪ Experiencia del cliente: Garantizar que la


experiencia del visitante sea positiva desde el
momento de la planificación del viaje hasta el
regreso a casa, lo que incluye la calidad del
servicio, la satisfacción del cliente y la gestión
de quejas y comentarios.

▪ Análisis y medición: Utilizar herramientas de
análisis para medir el rendimiento de las campañas
de marketing, el retorno de la inversión (ROI) y
