Operations Flow

Introduction of User Role
1. System Admin (admin)

Device Groups setup, assign content manager of device.

2. Media Manager (manager)

Upload media.

3. Content Manager (manager)

Upload media, edit program content, edit play schedule, assign play schedule for
media player.

4. Program Reviewer (admin)

Review program content.

Change Password
1. Click the menu in the upper right corner, select “My Profile”.

2. Click “Change Password”.

3. Input the new password, then click “Yes”.

Create Account
1. Click “Account Management” → “Users”

2. Click “New”

3. Input the information of the new user, then click “Save”.

(1). User Name

(2). Role: Administrator, Manager, User, Operator

(3). Email: For login ConnectUX.

(4). Language

Device Management
Device Groups and Assign Manager
1. Click “Device Management” → “Device Groups”.

2. Click “New”

3. Input the information of the group and assign the manager, then click “Save and
apply to current devices”.

(1). Group Name

(2). Group Manager: Set the group manager who can modify this group. Only the
group manager can modify the group. Can choose the user’s role is
Administrator, Manager, User, Operator.

(3). Content Manager: Set the content manager who can change the content of this
group's devices, can only view the devices with content management authority in
the Players page. Can choose the user’s role is Administrator, Manager, User.

4. After saved it, then click “Add device”.

5. Select the devices, then click “Confirm”.

6. Click “Save and apply to current devices” again.

AIoT Devices
1. Click “Device Management” → “AIoT Devices”.

2. Select the AIoT Device.

(1). Reload Agent, Apply, Back

(2). Reboot now, Shutdown now, Remove device, Clear cache: Can action on this
device

(5). Content Manager: Set the content manager who can change the content of this
group's devices, can only view the devices with content management authority in
the Players page. Can choose the user’s role is Administrator, Manager, User.

(6). Group: Cannot modify, needs to modify on Device Groups page.

(9). On-line Status: : online, : offline

(11). Last Connection: Last connection time of this device.

(12). Screen shot: The image of player screenshot, can click “ ” to take a
real-time screenshot.

(13). Host Operation Schedule: Can choose the schedule which Schedule Type is
“Range” in “Device Management” → “Schedules”.

(14). Reboot: Can choose the schedule which Schedule Type is “Single time” in
“Device Management” → “Schedules”.

(15). Application Name: Choose the Application you want to use. The application
name needs to include “SignageInfo” to display on the Players page.

(16). Play Schedule: Choose the Schedule you want to play.

Content Management

Configuration / Basic Settings


Audit Settings
Set (or not set) according to requirements. After setting, all program contents (including
other admin accounts) produced must be reviewed before they can be used.

1. Click “Content Management” → “Configuration”

2. Check “Enable program review process” → Choose “Default audit person”

3. Click the user name of approver.

Power BI Settings
Set (or not set) according to requirements, and then you can use the Power BI object.

1. Click “Content Management” → “Configuration”

2. Input Power BI user account and password.

Inbox
This function must have checked “Audit Settings” → “Enable program review process”,
and the account of approver can approve the program in the inbox.

Data Source
Add Data Source
The “Third party data” needs to be used with the “Meeting Room” system. If the “Meeting
Room” system is not purchased, use the “Excel” mode.

1. Click “Content Management” → “Data Source”.

2. Click “New”

3. Choose the Type and input Name.

Medias
Upload Media
1. Click “Content Management” → “Medias”.

2. Click “Batch upload” → “Choose file”.

3. Choose the file you want to upload. (Image format support jpg or png. Video format
support webm. Music format support wav or mp3. File format support PDF.), then
click “Open”.

Media Support Format

Video: Windows support webM, Android support MP4 and webM.

Image: .jpg or .png

Music: .mp3 or .wav

4. Click “Next”, and wait for it to upload.

5. Back to Medias check the files.

Media Share Settings
Public Share
If you need to share the media to everyone, just enable the “Public Shares”.

Group Share
Enable “Group Shares” option to share this media to whom with the same media group
as you.

Media group share permission is based on device group first layer.

Below is the sample. If group’s content manager shares a media by group shares, only
those who are under the same group can access the media, and other group members
have no permission to access it.

Program Content
Add Program
1. Click “Content Management” → “Program Content” → “New”.

2. Input the details of the program.

(1). Input the program Name

(2). Select the Resolution or input the Resolution

(3). Choose the Background Color

(4). Choose the Background Image

(6). Choose the Transition style: Click the drop-down menu, then choose the style.

(7). Add Tags: Useful for searching.

Introduction of Area

(1). Page status button

Save: Before you publish the program, make sure to save it first.

Publish: After publish, the program status will change to “Published”.

Delete: Delete that page.

Preview: Preview program, you can navigate to other page to preview.

Object Function and Introduction

1. Media : Area for display media.


Click the Media object, it will be added to layout.

(1). Media Object’s Name, Key

the media object, the width and height

Click “Interaction” → “New Interaction”.

Choose the interaction function depending on requirement, click “Save” on the


upper-left in the end.

(1). Page Navigation: Choose “Page Navigation”, then select the page you want to
jump to.

previous page.

Choose “Next Page”, when click this object, the program will skip to next
page.

Choose specific page, when click this object, the program will skip to that

(2). Use Webhook: Choose “Use Webhook” → choose the method and input the

Select the object. If you select “Current Page”, the media will be played on
this page; if you select a media object, it will only be played in the object area
of the media.

(1). Search for the video or live you want to play on YouTube, then click “Share”.

(2). Click “Embed” → Copy the embed link.
