Associate (SA+) should login to EUMS application using Cognizant email id (Associate_Id@cognizant.com) and
password
Important Notes !
EUMS is a platform to create the external users like, guests, customer, intern trainee, vendor contractor etc.
There are 3 types of users we create at EUMS; they are guest, customer with g-<user> and vendor contractor, intern trainee,
with t-<user> and vendor contractor with email ID check box checked, B2B email id users.
❖ Only SA + associates can create the users under the assigned ESA project
❖ External user’s email id(Non-Cognizant Email ID), First Name, Last Name are mandatory
❖ Access EUMS Application - https://onecognizantbcazrapps.cognizant.com/895/
❖ Select ‘Create -> Individual users’ from the menu section of home page
❖ Enter the required details. User creation must require the valid external user email id .
❖ Once external user get created with the given email id, the request will go for Project ESA manager approval.
▪ If ESA Project Manager create the user by self, then no approval is required, user will be created
❖ Once approved, external user will be created in the EUMS system.
❖ A welcome mailer will be triggered to the registered user’s email Id.
❖ User will be provided with a EUMS user registration link and OTP in the welcome mail to complete the registration
❖ User should complete the registration process to get valid credentials
❖ This credentials should be used to login the respective application.
❖ Authorization of the created users should handle at respective application end

1. Non-Cognizant Email Id of External User to which the registration email to be triggered. (OTP validation required during registration!)
2. (a) Guest or Customer – AD account without Cognizant Mailbox (b) Intern Trainee or Vendor Contractor – AD account with Cognizant Mailbox
3. Provide proper business purpose for external user account.
4. Account will be mapped against Project Id (Account will be auto terminated if Project Expires)
5. PM/Requestor is responsible for all external user actions, If PM and requestor are same associate, request will be auto approved.

1. Download the Respective Template & Fill the details and Submit.
2. Please note that you will be able to create account only if you have minimum 1% allocation on the project.
3. Maximum of 50 users can be uploaded at a time.

3. Select the valid request using check box and submit, If requestor and PM are same, the request gets auto
approved and mail is triggered to external user for verification else PM approval is required .

Non-Cognizant mail id needs to be used for creating external user accounts. If a vendor contractor is being created
in the system, their official email address from partnering firm can be used.
2. What all data is going to get shared with external user personal email id ?
EUMS will verify the email id using OTP for registration and Password reset remainders or account related mailers
will be triggered to the email ids.
As mentioned in the document, requestor and project manager is required to have at least 1% project allocation to
create or manage an external user account.
4. What to do if External user is receiving account disabled or inactive error while logging in ?
As per the new Inactive user management process, any user account inactive for more than 90 days in the system
will be disabled and placed inactive. For re-enabling the account, we would require respective PM approval attached
with GSD.
Please note that EUMS will provision the respective user accounts alone and application specific access needs to
be provisioned by respective application POC’s. GSD can be raised to the respective team for the same.
An external account can be recovered till 7th day from account termination date, after this the data and account will
be non recoverable.
7. What to do if the External user didn’t receive welcome mailer with instructions?
Please ask the user to recheck the spam folders and if it’s not delivered, please retrigger the welcome mailer from
the Manage Tab from EUMS application.
While the g- & email id vendor accounts are provisioned with in an hour mostly, t- accounts with mailbox might take
anywhere from 30 minutes to 8 hours.
Please raise GSD using Live support GSD. Respective Support POC will assist in clarifying your queries.
Please access OneC Livesupport GSD , choose Live-Support GSD and please provide the keyword
“External User access or creation Issue” and create a ticket.
The ticket update or status provided by the technical team will be in the ‘Ticket Status’ and follow the GSD
worklog and update your queries in the worklog.

Steps for the external user to get registered in MFA and login into application
❖ When an external user access the Cognizant application, first user will be redirected to the login screen
❖ Provide the guest user id which registered in EUMS portal. For example, If user id is g-12345 ,try with g-
12345@cognizant.com or g-12345@CognizantOnline.onmicrosoft.com format
❖ After sign-in, the user will get a page for MFA registration. Proceed from there OR Login to the MFA setup
URL: https://aka.ms/MFASetup directly to set up MFA
❖ Compete the additional security process (select authenticator app or Mobile).
❖ Once registered, login into respective application https://<applicationABC.cognizant.com> (Replace this with
application URL)
❖ You will be authenticated with MFA.
❖ Post validation, you will be redirected to the application login screen.
1. Type the email address and Registration Code received on the email address and validate the same to
proceed with account registration.
1. Enter the username (don't give space in the username) and password (follow the password policy) and click
next for the next step
1. Set your security question and answer to use incase of password recovery (Please note that the user
must know the answer to the challenge question for resetting password.)

1. Type the email address to receive new Registration Code and click Submit. User can register using the new
Registration Code to complete registration.
1. Enter the username to retrieve secret question and answer. Click validate for next step
1. Enter the secret question answer here for reset the password. Click validate for next step
1. Reset your password by entering new password following password policy. Click submit
“Please note that the user must know the answer to the challenge question for resetting password. If the user
does not know/remember the answer to challenge question, kindly ask the respective Cognizant POC to raise a
ticket to password reset team with approval from the manager to have the password reset.”
Please clear browser cache or use recommended browsers to perform registration. If the issue still exists, please
reach out to your Cognizant POC or Project manager to raise an Incident to EUMS Support team using Live GSD.
