Klaus-Jürgen Wrede Carcassonne meets Snakes & Ladders.

This mini-expansion combines two classic

games and changes the dynamics of
scoring in a whole new way.

Snakes & Ladders

Components
1 Snakes & Ladders-Scoreboard

Setup
Use the Snakes & Ladders-scoreboard instead of the usual
one. Then, as usual, you place a meeple from each player on
field 0.

This expansion was developed for the Carcassonne base game,

therefore the basic rules stay the same!
You can play Snakes and Ladders in combination with other
expansions but there won't be any official rules.

Gameplay
This expansion does not change the regular gameplay.
Follow the steps as usual 1. Place a land tile, 2. Place a meeple and 3. Score points.

3. Score points
As in the basic game, you count the points you collect in the game on this scoreboard. However, there are some special
fields where the scoring meeples are moved.
• On fields 1, 16 and 32 is a bottom of a ladder. This is marked by a person.
• On the fields 13, 31, 39 and 48 is the head of a snake.

After you have scored everything, you look on the scoreboard where the scoring meeples are.
• If a scoring meeple is at the bottom of a ladder, it climbs "up" and is now at the end of the ladder.
• If a scoring meeple is at a snake's head, it is "eaten" and moves to the end of the snake's tail.

You are on 16. Your

scoring meeple
climbs "up" the ladder.
Now it is at field 34.

Blue is on 39 and
is "eaten" by the
snake. You move the
scoring meeple back to
field 11.

Green is on field 27.

Nothing happens on this
field, so the scoring
meeple simply stays
there.

FINAL SCORING
At the end of the game, do the final scoring as usual. Ignore all snakes and ladders.
