Humans are equipped to extract oxygen from the air using our respiratory system adapted for this

purpose.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
The human respiratory system is made up of a pair of
lungs, a series of airways, and a thin layer of smooth
muscle called the diaphragm.
WHAT ARE RESPIRATORY DISEASES
They are diseases that affect the lungs and other parts of the respiratory
system. Respiratory diseases can be caused by infections, tobacco use or
inhalation of environmental tobacco smoke, radon, asbestos or other forms
of air pollution. Respiratory diseases include asthma, chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonia, and lung cancer.
Also called lung disease and lung disorder.
WHAT ARE MEDICATIONS
RESPIRATORY
Quick Relief medications for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) work quickly to help you
breathe better. You take them when you cough, wheeze, or have trouble breathing, such as during a
flare-up. For this reason, they are also known as rescue drugs.
The medical name for these drugs is bronchodilators, which means drugs that open the airways
(bronchi). They relax the muscles in your airways and open them for easier breathing. You and your
doctor can make a plan for quick-relief drugs that work for you. This plan will include when you should
take them and how much you should take.

HISTORY
Healing remedies are as old as humanity itself. Until the end of the 19th
century, all medicines came from nature, but with the development of
Organic Chemistry, the chemical substances contained in them and that
were responsible for their action were separated from the drugs known until
then, thus giving rise to the concept of active ingredient. Once its chemical
structure was known, an attempt was made to imitate it through synthesis,
which also means obtaining related products. In this way modern
Pharmacology was generated.
