What is the NextLeap Product Manager Fellowship?


Our Product Manager Fellowship is a 12 week online course that helps learners

transition into a career in product management. The entire fellowship is taught

online via live sessions on Zoom. Our instructors and mentors are product

management executives at top technology companies and they will not only

teach you the fundamentals of product management, but also help you with

case studies, doubt resolution and feedback.

Who is eligible to apply for the NextLeap Product Manager Fellowship?

This fellowship is open to anyone trying to break into a new role and there is no

requirement for minimum experience, CGPA or degree / specialization.

Are there any costs associated with the NextLeap Product Manager

Fellowship?

Apart from the enrolment fees there are no other hidden costs associated with

the fellowship.

What if I miss a live session?

Recordings will be made available for all of the live sessions with instructors.

Further, please note that we've designed our sessions to be participatory and

interactive, and recommend that you attend all to make the most of them.

What are the benefits of being a Fellow in the NextLeap Product Manager

What is the graduation project?


At the end of the fellowship we will release a problem statement for you to

work. Your submission to this problem statement is called the graduation

project.

Can I re-submit my graduation project?

We will release a new problem statement at the start of every month. Once you

have completed the fellowship, you will get 3 attempts in the next 3 consecutive

months (after the fellowship) to submit your graduation project.

Are there any costs associated with the NextLeap Product Manager

Fellowship?

Apart from the enrolment fees there are no other hidden costs associated with

the fellowship.

What's the problem statement that I'll be required to work on for the

graduation project?

A problem statement will be released at the start of the first month after you

have completed the fellowship. Thereafter, you'll have a time period of ~1

month to submit your graduation project.

What are the key responsibilities of a Fellow during the program?

Product Manager Fellowship requires a time commitment of 12-14 hours per

week. As a fellow enrolled in this program, we will expect you to attend weekly

live sessions with instructors and mentors, which are held on Saturdays. Aside

from the same, you will be required to go through weekly learning material on

the NextLeap website and make your submission for the weekly milestone,

which is a real world problem statement on the topic being taught during the

week. Upon completion of 8 weeks of the fellowship, you will get 3 monthly

attempts at submitting the graduation project. All fellows who score more than

70% in the graduation project submission will be declared top fellows and will

get the access to placement support for 1 year.

What are the selection criteria for the NextLeap Product Fellowship?


There's no selection criteria to enroll for our Product Manager Fellowship.

However as part of this fellowship you will get 3 attempts to submit the

graduation project and all fellows who score more than 70% in at least one of

their attempts will be declared a top fellow. Thereafter, all top fellows will get 1

year placement support from NextLeap.

Who all will be eligible to get access to career services?

You need to submit your graduation project and score more than 70% in your

project to get access to our career services.

What’s included in the career services?

As part of our career services, we’ll make your profile available to our partner

hiring companies. Depending on their requirement and selection criteria they

will reach out to you for interviews. Learners from our previous cohorts have

gotten hired at companies such as OLA, PhonePe, Slice, Cars24, Media.net,

Swiggy and many more.

If I don’t score more than 70%, will I still get a completion certificate?

Completion certificate will be given to every learner who completes all the

weekly milestones and submits the graduation project.

What kind of support and resources will Fellows have access to during the

program?

As part of your weekly live sessions with instructors you'll get to learn from

industry experts. We also map each learner to a mentor who will help you every

week with case study breakdowns and doubt resolution. Further, every week

you'll gain access to learning material on the topic of the week and access to a

real world problem statement as part of your weekly milestone.

How many Fellowships are offered each year?

A new cohort of the Product Manager Fellowship starts every month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the interviews be for internships or full time roles?


Our hiring partners hire for both full time roles and internships (3-6 months).

Typically, 70% of the hiring is for full time roles and 30% for internships.

Is work experience also a criterion to get selected for interviews?

No, not all! No prior experience is required. You need to complete your weekly

milestones and score 70% on your graduation project to be eligible to appear

for interviews.

Which companies are hiring?

There have been 100+ hiring partners so far. A lot of companies have already

signed up for the new cohorts in each domain and the final list of the hiring

partners will be shared upon commencement of the respective Fellowships.

If I am unable to attend the program or need to pull out at the last

minute, will I get a refund?

Refund requests can be raised only before the 28th of the month preceding the

Fellowship start date. If the reason is found genuine, we'll refund 100% of the

paid amount. Any requests raised after the aforementioned timeline will not be

processed. The decision on refund requests will be at the discretion of the

NextLeap team.

Can I get this reimbursed from my company?

We provide a certificate of completion and an invoice as proof of your

participation in this course. Our learners have found these documents to be

sufficient to claim a reimbursement from their employers.

How long is the NextLeap Product Manager Fellowship program?

Our Product Manager Fellowship is an 8 week online course. After the

completion of 8 weeks, you will get 3 attempts (1 per month) to submit the

graduation project.
