Checking of liquid level

To ensure correct operation of the gyro it is necessary to check the liquid level in
the Outer Sphere at intervals of 12 months. Should the liquid level be too low, dis-
tilled water is to be filled up.

• Details are described in the attached Instructions 3572.


Please pass these instructions on to your Gyrostar II
Customers immediately.

Subject 2.)
Replacement of pump tubes

To increase checking intervals (up to 3 years maximum), we are from now on us-
ing newly developed pump tubes. These new pump tubes (black type) can also be
installed in compasses already in operation during a scheduled service call.

The replacement of the pump tubes is fully described in the instructions 3571 ena-
bling the customer to carry out the replacement himself. Please inform your cus-
tomers about this possibility.

For the replacement of the tubes a free set, consisting of the three tubes, the sup-
porting liquid, a bottle of distilled water and instructions of use can be ordered from
Raytheon Marine GmbH, Kiel.

MATERIAL: Set of tubes 110-231.X05, Stock No. 3.603 649

WARRANTY: Provided that the replacement of the pump tubes is carried out by your service
engineers during a scheduled service call, we bear the costs of the a.m. set and
one working hour maximum.

We bear neither costs for shipment nor travel expenses.

After Service please send us the Service Report together with the Warranty Allow-
ance Request.
