introduced each speakers. She first mentioned ABCPaolo Germar who failed to attend the event due to
an emergency event that heneeds to attend. She thereafter introduced SK Fed President, Mark Ivan C.
Felicianowho talks aboutwhy youths should engaged more in sports activities rather than in using illegal
drugs as well as it effects. SK Pres. Ivan mentioned duringhis talk the line that Jose Rizal used in order to
give credence to the role of the youthin our nation which is, “Ang Kabataan ang siyang Pag-asa ng Ating
Bayan”. Hestated that it is indeed true that the youths are the future of this nation, but due to thefact
that our generation spends most of their time on their phone, and in buildingtheir careers that they
tend to forgot the importance of engaging in sports, as a resultof that, less number of people nowadays
were healthy enough and that the averagelife span lowered to 40-60 years old based on different
studies. With that, heencourages each of the participating teams and those who are present during
theopening of the league to engage more in sports and be active. He even advisedeach person to make
sure that how busy the schedule of a person should have,he/she should find time to be exercise in order
to be healthy. He even discussed thatdue to the fact that less percentage of youth participate in sports
activities, there is ahigh percentage if youth participation as to the number of individuals using illegal
drugs.

Some of the effects he even mentioned were: 1) It can affect how you treatthe people around you; 2) it
can affect your well-being; and 3) It was not beneficial toyou as a person since it can only cause a limited
satisfaction but a lifetime regret inlife.Thereafter, SK Federation Vice President Gilbert Esteban was
called and hediscussed the different proposed activities that they have done in Barangay Bitungolin
order to lessen the number of youth participation in their records to individualswho are called drug-
addicts. He stated during his talk that it was really hard tosuppress the number of individuals who
continuously using illegal drugs as most of the time as he mentioned, they have lots of out of school
youths. In fact, two of their major problems in their barangay was the youth’s participation in using of
illegaldrugs and teenage pregnancy. With that, he continuously proposed the conduct of different
trainings and seminars in order to divert the attention of their KK members,however, as time passed,
they noticed that there was less youth participants eachtrainings as youths now a days were not that
interested to those kind of activities.Thereafter, he mentioned that the conduct of Basketball Leagues
really helped themin suppressing the number of youths who used illegal drugs because in three to four
(3-4) months of the conduct of such activity, the reports as to the illegal use of drugswas lessen. With
that, they come up with the theory that, if the youths were given anactivity to which they can divert
their attention at, more likely, less number of youthswill be recorded as drug addicts. At the end of his
discussion, he encourageseveryone to be active and participate to each activities that were made for
their benefit.III.END At the end of the campaign, SK Chairperson Francesca Abegail Legaspiawarded the
certificate to each speakers and bid her “thank you” to her co-SKChairpersons who serves as speakers
during the BOLA KONTRA DROGRACAMPAIGN 2022. She also reiterates the effects of using illegal drugs
as mentionedby SK Pres. Ivan Feliciano and the words of SK Chairperson Gilbert Esteban, toparticipate
more in every programs of SK Pinagtulayan that was made for their ownbenefit. At around 4:45 in the
afternoon of the same date, the BOLA KONTRADROGA CAMPAIGN 2022 thru SK INTERCOLOR
BASKETBALL LEAGUE headedby SK Pinagtulayan has ended. Other activities thereafter has been
