Conveyor Belt Roll Length Calculation !

• Converter belt unit = 0.785

• 1 Meter = 1000 mm

D = 800mm÷1000mm = 0.8mtr
d = 180mm÷100mm = 0.18mtr
Tb = 12mm÷1000mm = 0.012mtr
D = diameter of the roll (larger diameter)
d = diameter of the core (smaller diameter)
Tb = Thickness of the material (or the basis weight
of the material)
The formula calculates the length of the material on
the roll by:
1. Finding the difference between the squares of
the larger and smaller diameters (D^2 – d^2)
2. Multiplying the result by a constant (0.785)
3. Dividing the result by the thickness of the
material (Tb)
This formula is also used to calculate the length of
rolls in various industries, such as paper, film, and
textiles. The constant 0.785 is a conversion factor

2
that takes into account the circular cross-section of
the roll.

Formula:
Length = (D^2-d^2)0.785÷Tb
= (0.8^2-(0.18^2)0.785÷0.012
= 39.7471666666666666666666
