OFFICE OF DEAN ACADEMIC AFFAIRS NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SRINAGAR ORDER NO: 01 OF 2021 DATED: 03-01-2021 National Institute of Technology Srinagar awards degrees to all its B. Tech. students based upon their CGPA. Following guidelines have been approved regarding grant of equivalent division / class in all such cases who have graduated from the Institute 1. A candidate who passes the examination of all semesters in the first appearance with a CGPA of 8.0 and above iscligible for the award of FIRST DIVISION WITH DISTINCTIO! 2. A student failing to satisfy above (Rule [1] to pass all papers in first attempt) even if he / she gets a CGPA of 8.0 or more will be eligible for the award of FIRST DIVISION ONLY. 3. A candidate who passes the examination of all papers and secures a CGPA of 6.5 and above, but below 8.0 is eligible for award of FIRST DIVISION. 4. A student who passes the examination of all papers with a CGPA of 5.0 and above but less than 6.5 is eligible for the award of SECOND DIVISION. 5. The division awarded will not be mentioned on any marks, transcript or degree certificate but a separate certificate will be issued in favour of concerned ‘This information is emplaced on Institute website for the information of all concerned.
