STEP 1: Charge
For best performance, it is recommended to fully charge both
devices before the first use (estimated charge time: 3hrs each)
1 Using included (or any) micro USB cable and USB power
source, charge both your Monster Bluetooth Transmitter
and Monster Bluetooth Headphones until full.

STEP 2: Install the Bluetooth Transmitter

Note: The Transmitter includes an optional, peel-and-stick mounting
bracket that can conveniently attach it to the back of your TV.

2 Connect the Transmitter to an audio source, like a TV or

home stereo, using the 3.5mm audio jack and the included
3.5mm Aux Cable. Be sure that it is connected to the
AUDIO OUTPUT jack of the audio source, not an input.
Note: After connecting the Transmitter, you may need to
adjust your TV’s audio output to select the 3.5mm output.
3 For prolonged use in this location, connect the transmitter to
one of your TV’s USB ports, or a separate USB power
source, using the USB cable.
4 Turn on the Transmitter by switching the power switch on the
side to the “ON” position. The Bluetooth LED indicator will
illuminate solid blue.

STEP 3: Auto Pair the Bluetooth Headphones

5 Press+Hold the Multifunction Button on the Headphones
for 3 seconds to turn on the Bluetooth headphones, you will
hear a 3-note chime indicating that it has turned on.
6 The LED indicator with begin quickly flashing red and blue
indicating it has entered Auto Pairing Mode. The Headphones
and the Transmitter will automatically pair with each other.
You will hear a 2-note chime indicating that they have paired
successfully and the LEDs will pulse blue.

Note: Auto Pair should take no more than 5 seconds to complete.

If you have not heard the 2-note chime indicating pairing
success, Press the button on the Transmitter ONCE.
DO NOT press+hold this button as it may reset the device.

Pairing with Other Devices

For info on manually pairing the Transmitter to a different
Bluetooth Audio Device, like earbuds or speakers, or manually
pairing the Headphones to a different Bluetooth Audio Source,
like a tablet or phone, please see pg 6.

transmitter can each only connect
Other Devices to one device at a time.

Manually Pair the Transmitter to a

different Bluetooth Audio Device
If desired, the Transmitter can stream audio to any other Bluetooth
enabled audio device, like earbuds, headphones, or speakers.
Ensure the Headphones are OFF before re-pairing the Transmitter.
1 To manually enter pairing mode on the Transmitter, Press
the button ONCE. The Bluetooth LED indicator will flash
blue quickly indicating it has entered Pairing Mode.
2 Activate pairing mode on your Bluetooth audio device (follow
the individual instructions for your device). The Transmitter
will locate and automatically pair to the available device,
allow up to 20 seconds for the Transmitter to pair.

Manually Pair the Headphones

to a different Bluetooth Audio Source
If desired, the Bluetooth Headphones can be paired to any
Bluetooth enabled device, like phones, tablets, or computers.
Ensure the Transmitter is OFF before re-pairing the Headphones.
1 Enable Bluetooth search mode on your audio device
(follow the individual instructions for your device)
2 Turn on the Bluetooth headphones by pressing and
holding the Multifunction Button for 3 seconds, you
will hear a 3-note chime indicating that it has turned on.
The LED indicator will begin quickly flashing blue and red
indicating it has entered Auto Pairing Mode.
3 Locate and select device “MONSTER MTH9-1001” in
your device’s Bluetooth list to complete pairing

Operation

1 Press+Hold the Multifunction Button for 3 seconds

to turn on the Bluetooth headphones. (If the Transmitter is
ON, the Headphones will automatically reconnect, you will
hear a 2-note chime indicating success.)
2 Use the buttons to control your audio. You will have different
controls based on what device you are connected to:

Press+Hold Button to raise the volume

Press+Hold Button to lower the volume

Press+Hold Button to raise the volume

Press+Hold Button to lower the volume
Press Button to play/pause audio and to
answer/end phone calls
Press Button to change to the next track
Press Button to change to the previous track

3 To power down the headphones, hold the Multifunction

Button for 5 seconds, the LED light indicator will flash
red 3 times and then remain off. You will hear a 4-note chime
indicating that they have successfully powered off.

To Use as Wired Auxiliary Headphones:

Plug a 3.5mm audio cable into the Aux jack (additional cable
not included). The headphones will automatically switch from
“Bluetooth” mode to “Auxiliary” mode and power off to conserve
battery. The Headphones do not need to be ON in Aux mode.
Note: Volume and music control buttons on the
headphones will not function while in Aux mode.
