SETPOINT PROGRAMMING

The B2X_2H28 can be programmed from the keypad for two

setpoints: one for partial counting and one for cycle counting.
Press the PGM key to access setpoint programming. Display will
show "Set 1" for approximately one second, followed by the value
programmed previously with the digit represented units flashing.
To enter numbers, press the two arrows: the UP arrow changes the
number shown on the flashing display, while the SHIFT arrow
changes the flashing digit.
The flashing digit represents units: using the SHIFT arrow,
select tens, hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of
thousands and polarity in sequence.
Numbers from 0 to 9 can be entered using the UP arrow, while
positive or negative polarity can be selected on the polarity
display.
Maximum range for setpoint 1 (partial count) is ±999999, while
maximum range for setpoint 2 (cycle count) is 0...999999.
After programming setpoint 1, press ENTER to exit from the
programming sequence or press the PGM key again to program
setpoint 2. In the latter case, the display will indicate "Set 2"
for approximately one second, followed by the value programmed
previously with the digit representing units flashing.
To exit programming sequence after programming setpoint 2, press
ENTER.
Press the SHIFT to view total count display.

7
CONFIGURATIONS

The following configurations are possible with model B2X_2H28:

Default settings

PARTIAL COUNTING

E = Encoder pulses per revolution (1)

L = Reading with one encoder revolution (1)
I = Input type(encoder / proximity switch (0)
(a) = Anti-bounce filter (only if I is not 0) (0)
d = Decimal point (0)

will not be accepted: when the ENTER or PGM key is pressed, the
partial count value will return to the display. After each
configuration programming step, either press PGM to go on to
the next programming step, or press ENTER to return to partial
count display.

after reset command is given; after this period, input
pulses return to display even if the reset command is
still active.

greater than or equal to setpoint.
1 = Auto cyc le
When the number of pulses established by setpoint is
reached, the display is reset to zero immediately while the
relay will remain excited for approximately 250mS.

OPERATING CYCLE

The RST1 reset command zeros the partial counter.

Count increases on the basis of the selected ratios at each
encoder revolution or sensor pulse.
The counter stops when the GT count stop comm and is given.
Each cycle ends when count reaches the predet ermined setpoint
(set1), and the cycle counter increases automatically by one
unit.
Cycle will be automatic or manual, depending on the pro gram
selected at step "C".
The RST2 reset command zeros the cycle counter.
The cycle ends when the selected number of cycles reaches the
setpoint (set 2).
Cycle will be automatic or manual, depending on the program
selected at step "c".

12
Note 1 If the number of pulses to be displayed for each encoder
revolution is not a whole number, accuracy can be improved by
increasing the values set during configuration programming steps
E and L by multiples of ten.
Example: Encoder 100 pulses/revolution
Reading 34.67
With code E = 100 / code L = 35, there will be a percentage
error in encoder linear development.
This error can be eliminated (or reduced) by setting:
Code E = 10000 / code L = 3467.
When the pulse counter is used with non-reversible sensor input,
parameters E and L become division and multiplication factors
respectively .
For example, if it is necessary to measure pulses from a volume
counter where each pulse represents 1.34 liters, it will be
sufficient to set code E = 100 and code L = 134.

Note 2 With reversible encoder input, if ratio L/E is greater

than 2, maximum input frequency will drop automatically to 5
kHz.
