ALAQEED PE POLYETHLENE PIPES

ALAQEED PE PIPE SYSTEM

IS MADE FROM PE, POLYETHYLENE RISEN APPROVED FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PIPES ACCORDING TO SASO 4427-1
STANDARDS ( METHODS OF TESTING POLYETHYLENE PIPES FOR GENERAL PURPOSES).
THE RAW MATERIAL IS SUPPLIESD IN GRANULES.
BEFORE PROCESSING, THE GRANULE IS SUBMITTED TO SPECIFIC TESTS IN OUR LABORATORIES TO VERIFY ITS
SUITABILITY FOR USE ( ISO 1133 – MELT FLOW INDEX MFI 190° C/ 10MIN).
(PE) IS A THERMOPLASTIC RESIN WHICH IS TRANSFORMED INTO THE FINISHED PRODUCT BY A RISE IN
TEMPERATURE, WHICH PLASTICIZES THE MATERIAL, ALLOWING THE PIPE TO BE PRODUCED BY MEANS OF
EXTRUSION.
THESE PROCESSE ARE CARRIED INSIDE OUR FACTORY, UNDER THE CONTROL OF SKILLED, QUALIFIED STAFF.
THE DIMENSIONS OF THE PIPES AND FITTINGS, WITH THE RELATIVE PROCESSING TOLERANCES, ARE ESTABLISHED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH DIN 8074 / ISO 4427 (POLYTHYLENE (PE)- PIPES PE 63, PE 80 , PE 100)
ALAQEED PE HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE PIPES – HDPE
AND LOW DENSITY POLYETHYLENE PIPES – LDPE
SIZES FROM 16 MM TO 200 MM USED FOR WATER, ELECTRICAL DUCTS

POLYETHYLENE PROPERTIES
LOW MAINTENANCE – PE PIPES RETAIN THEIR STRENGTH AND FUNCTIONALITY WITH MINIMUM MAINTENANCE
– THEY ARE EASILY WIELDABLE INTO LONG SECTION, EXHIBIT SLOW CRACK GROWTH RESISTANCE ALONG WITH
RESISTANCE TO RAPID CRACK PROPAGATION AND A LONG LIFETIME IN BOTH STATIC AND DYNAMIC LOADS.
LOWER COST OF INSTALLATION – PE PIPES ARE FLEXIBLE, LIGHT WEIGT AND TOUGH, ENABLING EASIER SITE
HANDLING AND INSTALLATION ALONG WITH EASIER COILING INTO LONG LENGTHS FOR EASIER HANDLING AND
STORAGE.
LONG LIFETIME – PE PIPES CAN BE CERTIFIED TO WITHSTAND HARSH TERRAINS AND CLIMATES WITH NO
CORROSION. THEY EXHIBIT EXCELLENT CHEMICAL RESISTANCE, ABRA- SION RESISTANCE AND GOOD RESISTANCE TO
WEATHER ABILITY AND UV ALONG WITH RESISTANCA TO MICRO-ORGANISM AND RODENT ATTACK.
HIGH SAFETY RECORD AND NO LEAKAGE – WELD ABILITY BRINGS LEAK FREE JOINTS OVER LONG DISTANCES, AND
THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND HIGH AXIAL AND BENDING LOADS WITHOUT JOINT FAILURE. CHEMICAL INERTNESS
ENSURES NO CONTAMINATION OF WATER THROUGH TASTE AND ODOR.
EASILY PROCESSED AND RECYCLABLE – POLYETHYLENE AS A THERMOPLASTIC IS EASILY CONVERTED INTO
VARIOUS PIPE AND FITTING DIMENSIONS AND CAN BE RECYCLED INTO LESS CRITICAL APPLICATIONS AT THE END OF
ITS LIFETIME.

JOINTING AND FITTINGS

Heating Element Butt Welded Joints:
Two pipe end faces are heated together by using heating

element until reaching melting temperature, then the pipe

ends pressed together to form a uniform permanent bond.

Butt Fusion Fittings:

Spigot end fittings produced specially for butt fusion to pipe.

These must be specified to match both the pressure rating

and the SDR of the pipe. The pressure rating of the fittings

must be equivalent or higher than that of the pipe.

Electro-fusion fittings:
Electro-fusion fittings are specified by their pressure rating,

such that they are at least rated the same as the pipe pressure rating.

The heating energy of this fittings are produced by heating wires.

Mechanical Fittings:
Mechanical fittings (compressed fittings) are designed to at least meet

the minimum operating pressure rating of PE 100 SDR 11 pipe 16 bar.

ALAQEED PE WATER PIPES

BUTT WELDING
Butt welding method used to join two lengths of PE pipes together or join PE pipe with PE fitting.

Butt welding machine

The following conditions should be achieved in a butt welding machine:

• Aligning the pipe ends

• Clamping the pipes

• Facing the pipe ends parallel and square to the centerline

• Heating the pipe ends

• Applying the proper fusion force

Butt welding steps

The following steps should be implemented to make perfect butt welding:

1 Clean, clamp and align the pipe ends to be joined.

2 Face the pipe ends to establish clean, parallel surfaces, perpendicular to the center line.

3 Align the pipe ends.

4 Melt the pipe interfaces.

5 Join the two pipe ends together by applying the proper fusion force.

6 Hold under pressure until the joint is cool.
