Step 5: Perform your analysis of embodied energy and RETV from your floor cluster layout.
Total Embodied Energy per floor area for all the layouts.
17
Total Embodied Energy per envelope area for all the layouts.
Envelope Embodied Energy per envelope area for all the layouts.
Conclusion:
From the above graphs, it is evident that as we move from a 4-Unit Cluster ofLIG to a 6-Unit
Cluster of MIG, the total embodied energy goes up. However, when we consider the total
embodied energy per floor area, it actually decreases. The same trend is observed when
looking at the total embodied energy per envelope area across all layouts. Furthermore, the
Envelope Embodied Energy per envelope area remains relatively consistent across all layouts.

2. Analysis of RETV Calculations:
19
Contribution of various parameters for RETV of 4-Unit Cluster of MIG.
Conclusion:
From the above graphs, we can conclude that the major contribution for RETV comes from the
walls, primarily through conduction. Following this, the windows contribute to RETV through
radiation, while their contribution through conduction is minimal. Moreover, it is observed that
the RETV values across all layouts fall within the range of 13.7 to 14.1.
