INTRODUCTION
Dealing Ranges - Premium & Discount

WHAT IT IS
A dealing range is finding a
BULLISH RANGE specific range in price and cutting
it in half. This will provide
premium, discount, or fair market
value levels for us to trade from.

SIGNIFICANCE
The significance of a dealing
range is that it gives us the big
picture and overall where the
market is headed right now.
When intraday trading, even in a
bearish range, there will still be
buy days (vice versa). We buy in
BEARISH RANGE discount and sell in premium, but
price has to get there first.

APPLICATION
There are many ways to apply
dealing ranges. In this e-book, we
will cover 3 simple ways to
determine the current dealing
range.

1. Time Based Liquidity


2. True Opening Prices
3. HTF Impulse -> LTF Range

METHOD 1 - TIME BASED LIQUIDITY


The first method uses time based liquidity as a dealing range. The
anchoring points would be the high and low of Previous X High and Low.

Some examples of time based liquidity could be:


Previous Year High & Low
Previous Month High & Low
Previous Week High & Low
Previous Day High & Low
Previous Session High & Low

METHOD 2 - TRUE OPEN PRICES


The second method uses True Opens as equilibrium. Above a true open is
premium, and below is a discount. This concept is derived from Quarterly
Theory (Credits to Daye). The true open is always Q2 of a cycle.

Some True Open Examples:


True Year Open - The open of the first Monday of April.
True Month Open - The open of the second Monday of the month.
True Week Open - Monday at 6pm EST.
True Day Open - 00:00 Midnight EST.

METHOD 3 - HTF IMPULSE -> LTF RANGE


The third method is using a higher timeframe impulse to frame the lower
timeframe dealing range.

To apply this, you would find the most recent and obvious displacement of
the higher timeframe and anchor the range to the high and low of the
displacement leg.

Dropping down to the lower timeframe relative to the higher timeframe,


the impulse will become the lower timeframe dealing range.
