Essential clothing: Personal Camping Kit
Sports leggings/walking trousers Rucksack (65 litre capacity) T-shirt (wicking if possible)– PE sports top Rucksack liners/dry bags (bin-bag/plastic is ideal, bags) Fleece top/jacket – warm and light Torch and spare batteries 1 set of spare clothing (can be used for Water bottle (1-2 litres). sleeping in) Sleeping bag 4 season Hiking socks (one pair per day) Sleeping mat Underwear Knife/fork/spoon or “spork” (3 in 1) Boots – worn in Bowl & cup (preferably plastic) Warm hat & gloves (even in summer!) Matches Sunhat/cap Extra fleece jacket/light weight small puffa DO NOT BRING: jacket (extra warm layer) Jeans/jeggings – heavy, cold and Waterproof jacket – good quality uncomfortable when wet Waterproof trousers – good quality Shorts & vest tops – sunburnt shoulders and back of knees are an expedition Non-essential but nice to have: stopper! Flip-flops or light trainers for campsite Hoodies/sweatshirts are heavy and cold Thermals/Skins or equivalent when wet Gaiters Kit Shared between Group – Issued by Personal and Emergency Kit School First Aid kit (plasters, pain killers, blister Map, compass & waterproof map case treatments, any medication you take) Stove, pans and fuel Insect repellent – Smidge is good Tent Midge head-net (Silver & Gold) Team rucksack covers Sun cream – small Toothbrush, toothpaste, wet wipes, toilet roll and hand sanitiser (you do not need anything else) Water purification tablets
