4.0 RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

4.0.1 Title of the Research: The Relationship between Radar Reflectivity and
Rain rate in the Tropical Region Micro Rain Radar.
Method used:
In this research work is to classify tropical precipitating system include
convective, stratiform and transition stage with use of the Micro Rain Radar
(MRR). Main component of Micro Rain Radar includes parabolic dish,
Transceiver and Radar Control and Processing Device. (RCPC) The MRR
was mounted on a parabolic dish which was suspend above the ground by 6
feet with the aid of metal pole. I collected data for Radar Reflectivity and
Rain Rate for various heights (160m, 320m and 480m) above the sea level
for 3 months from April to July 2017 at Federal University of Technology
Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.
Result. My results indicate that the duration of the stratiform rain was more
than the other types of precipitation.
3.0.2 Title of the research work: How to Reduce Power Dissipation for
Modified Sine Wave Inverter
Method used: An integrated circuit IC SG3524N, a programmable
integrated circuit PIC 16F876A, Mosfet and Transformer. The transformer
was winded to reduce power loss through eddy current. The oscillator circuit
was modified to ensure feedback and during power dissipation.
Result: My results indicate that there was seventy percent decrease of power
dissipation by modified sign wave Inverter.

5.0 SEMINARS AND PRESENTATION

I. Presentation on the Advancement of Technology and Science in the 21 century
at Success International School.
II. Seminar on the Radar Reflectivity to Rain Rate Relationship in Tropical Region.
