Subject: Nurturing Dreams: Statement of Purpose for Masters in Psychology at Berlin School of

Business and Innovation

Dear Admissions Committee,

I hope this Statement of purpose finds you well. I am writing with great excitement and

determination to express my strong desire to join the master’s degree program in psychology at

the esteemed Berlin School of Business and Innovation.

Please Allow me to share my journey thus far. My name is Asha BK, and I come from the

peaceful town of Tulsipur, Ward No. 9, Rolpa, Nepal. Presently, I am residing in the vibrant city
of Kathmandu. My passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind has led me to

pursue a career in psychology.

My academic path has been one of curiosity and dedication. Throughout my studies, I have

delved into various psychological theories and concepts, sparking a profound interest in the

subject. My practical experiences have enriched my understanding. I have had the privilege of

working in roles that involved interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, which has

deepened my empathy and reinforced my commitment to the field.

As I set my sights on the master’s program, I am filled with eagerness to further expand my

knowledge and skills. The prospect of studying at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation,

renowned for its excellence, is truly inspiring. I am confident that this program will provide me

with the platform to explore psychology on a deeper level and contribute meaningfully to the

field.

I am sincerely grateful for your consideration of my application. I eagerly anticipate the

opportunity to join your esteemed institution and embark on this transformative academic

journey.

My educational journey started at Janata Sanskrit Higher Secondary School, where I did really

well and got a good score of 65%. I was really curious about science, so I chose to study science
at Gorka High School. I was really good at Physics and Biology during this time, and I got a

good score of 61%.

Because I really wanted to help people through medicine, I decided to study abroad. I went to

Rajiv Gandhi University in Karnataka, India. It was a big step for me, but I was really excited to

work towards becoming a doctor and making a positive difference in people’s lives. This

university is really respected and I felt proud to be a part of it.

So, you can see, my path to becoming a doctor has been filled with different steps and

experiences. Each place I studied at helped me learn and grow, and I’m excited for what’s next

in my journey.

During my time in college, I learned a lot about the human body, like how it works and what

happens when things go wrong. I was really good at subjects like anatomy, physiology, and

research. They helped me understand the body even better.

When I was about to finish college in 2019, I not only got my degree but also learned a ton from

a whole year of hands-on training. This training helped me take care of patients and know more

about their problems. It made me better at helping people stay healthy.

From 2021, I started working at Brain and Spine Hospital in Nepal. My job is important because

I talk to patients, figure out what’s wrong with them, and make plans to help them get better. I

really care about the people I help, and I’m excited to keep learning and making a difference in

their lives.

Working in a hospital has taught me a lot about how people talk and work together. I got better at

talking to others and learned more about how a person’s mind affects their health. This mix of

hands-on learning and classroom knowledge has made me really want to study psychology more.

Now, I’m really excited to study psychology at a great school called Berlin School of Business

and Innovation. I want to learn even more about how our minds work and how it affects the way

we care for patients. It’s like putting all the pieces of a puzzle together to help people even better.

I see this program as a way for me to learn the important things and know-how to help people

who are facing mental health problems. The teachers at your school are really good, and what

they teach, along with all the subjects they cover, really caught my attention. I believe that

studying here will make me really good at helping people deal with their mental health struggles.

When I think about going to your school, I get really excited. I think it’s going to change the way

I understand things and help me become really good at talking and helping people who are
struggling with their feelings and thoughts. It’s like I’ll be learning the secrets to making a real

difference in the lives of those who need it the most.

I wanted to tell you that I did my IELTS‘s test not long ago. I got a good score of 6 in the test. I

worked really hard to improve my English so I can talk and write better. This is important for me

to do well in school and work.

I believe my IELTS score shows that I’m serious about getting better at English. This skill helps

me talk and understand better when I’m studying and working. It’s like having a key that opens

doors to learning and doing a good job in different places. I want to keep getting better at this, so

I can be successful in my studies and my future career.

From a young age, I’ve been curious about the mysterious ways our minds work. I’ve always

cared deeply about others and wanted to make a difference in their lives. This curiosity and

empathy have driven me to study psychology, a field that has become my passion over time.

During my years in college, I worked hard to learn about different ideas in psychology, how we

figure things out about people, and how to talk to them to offer support. I gained a strong

foundation in psychological theories, how we do research to understand people better, and ways

to help them through counseling.

Now, I’m in a job where I talk to patients and help them share their struggles. It’s important to

me that they have a safe and supportive place to talk about their feelings. I guide them on a

journey toward feeling better and finding well-being. Being able to help people in this way is

really rewarding and makes me want to keep learning and growing in psychology

My background in healthcare, particularly in the domains of anatomy, physiology, and modern

research, has provided me with a holistic understanding of the interplay between the physical

body and mental health. Witnessing firsthand the impact of psychological factors on physical

well-being has prompted me to incorporate mindfulness practices, yoga, and holistic therapies

into my treatment recommendations. This holistic approach underscores the symbiotic

relationship between physical vitality and emotional equilibrium, a synergy I am deeply

committed to further exploring.

As I think about what lies ahead, I see myself becoming a mental health counselor. My goal is to

help people one-on-one and also make a positive impact in the community. I want to be really

good at my job and care about the people I work with.

In the future, I imagine not only helping clients deal with their mental health struggles and

become stronger, but also taking on important roles. I want to guide and teach others, lead

research projects, and speak up for better mental health rules and ways of doing things.
I believe that by doing these things, I can make a big difference and help more people have better

mental health. It’s like a puzzle, and I want to fit all the pieces together to create a better picture

for everyone.

I’m really excited about taking this course because I care a lot about teaching people about

mental health. I want to help everyone understand and talk openly about it. I dream of getting rid

of the misunderstandings and judgment that sometimes come with mental health issues.

I plan to do this by talking at events like conferences and seminars, and also just talking to

regular people about mental health. I want to work with schools, groups, and places where

people gather to make sure they have the information and help they need.

My goal is to make sure everyone, no matter who they are, can get the support and resources

they need for their mental health. I think it’s really important, and I’m really excited to be a part

of it.

I believe I have what it takes to do well in this field. I have a good education, and I’m good at

talking to people and working together with others. These things are really important for being a

good counselor.
I also have some personal qualities that help me. I care about others and can understand how they

feel, which makes me good at thinking about my own actions and getting better at what I do. I

know I’ll keep learning and getting better as I study more in this field.

So, with my education, skills, and personal qualities, I’m confident I can do a great job as a

counselor and make a positive impact on people’s lives.

All together, I want to express my strong enthusiasm about the opportunity to take a big step

forward and study for a Master’s in psychology at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation.

It’s a chance for me to learn so much and make a real difference. Looking back at my journey so

far, I’ve always been dedicated to this path, and my achievements in school and real-world work

back that up.

I am truly grateful that you’re considering my application, and I’m eagerly waiting to be part of

your school. I want to bring my dedication and passion to your institution, making it an even

better place for everyone.

Once again, Thank you for your time, consideration, and the opportunity to share my aspirations.

Warm Regards,
Asha B.K
