How to export e-mails (make an archive) to PST file

Step 1. CHECK AND CHANGE CACHED EXCHANGE MODE IN OUTLOOK


1. Go to file – Account Settings
2. Select your mailbox and click Change
3. Select Use Cached Exchange Mode (if not already selected)
4. Move slider to the right side (like on screenshot below)
a. Mail to keep offline All

5. Click Next -> Finish


6. Before moving to next step please wait until Outlook synchronize all emails (probably the best is
to leave it and do the next step the day after to be sure that all emails are cached and synced
from Exchange
Step 2. EXPORT .PST FILE

1. Click on File -> Open & Export

2. Click on Import/Export
3. Select Export to a file – Next

4. Select Outlook Data File (.pst) – Next


5. Select mailbox that you want export -> tick Include subfolders option and click Next

6. For destination put network share location (your home folder – where you write your working
hours) \\off-fs02\HomeDir\ and please use naming convention like on screenshot below
(firstname.lastname@maurer-electronics.hr) and click Finish.

Please make sure that you leave password empty like on screenshot below and just click OK.
7. Process will start immediately (time for completion depends on amount of emails)

IMPORT .PST FILE


1. Click on File – Open & Export

2. Open Outlook Data File


3. Select file that you previously exported and click OK
4. In Outlook at the end you will see folder Outlook Data File which contains all your old emails
