POLYTHIXON PM

Components : PM Phase 1
PM Phase 2

Description : Elastic, odourless polyurethane with a high tensile strength comprising the
components phase 1 and 2.

Ratio of Components: (parts by volume)


75 : 25 = Phase 1 : Phase 2

Processing : when using Polythixon PM, mix Phase 2 into Phase 1 homogenously in the
prescribe ratio.
The material is best applied using suitable pressure pumps, thus ensuring that it flows and
seeps well and displaces water optimally.

Cleanser : Polythixon Cleanser

Uses : Dry, Damp or wet crack and joints in all types of buildings made of concrete or similar
materials, especially in tunnels and shafts, as well as in the drinking water sector (fountains,
wells, containers and dike construction, etc.) Especially as an underlay for poorly ventilated
working areas. May be use to form bowl-shaped sealing layers around constructions, since it
adheres well to sand and concrete (wet or dry)
Polythixon PM does not attack bitumen, sealing materials an foils modified with bitumen or
styropor/PUR-foam. Even under water Polythison PM procedures very efficient sealing
bonds with these and other materials and sealing foils.

Attention : Consider using the product PLOTHIXON KAT – a catalyst that accelerates
the setting reaction, i.e. reduces the processing time.

Storage and handling : Phase 1 and 2 are sensitive to moisture.


For this reason the contents of containers once opened should be used immediately.

Storage time : At least 1 year for Phase 1 and 6months for Phase 2 in tightly closed original
containers under dry conditions.

Storage temperature : 15 – 25o C. Below +10oC Phase 2 may partially or completely


crystallize. In this case warm the material until liquid (max. 30 – 40oC) and homogenize
(shake or roll container) before use.
