FULL COMPATIBILITY ACROSS THE GMK SYSTEM REDUCING METAL ION RELEASE
The GMK Revision System is part of the GMK System, a complete portfolio that also includes implants for primary
knee replacement. Medacta’s knee replacement implants are also available
with SensiTiN coating. SensiTiN is a ceramic-like coating
The GMK System allows for a smooth transition throughout the product portfolio, thanks to the same internal femoral

metal hypersensitivity.[4,5,6]
The crossover technique leverages the full compatibility across the GMK System, allowing for an easy intraoperative
transition from primary implants (i.e., GMK Sphere and GMK Primary) to more constrained implants (i.e., GMK Revision
and GMK Hinge) by adding just one tray and the trial revison implants to primary instruments.
The GMK Revision System can benefit from the proven accuracy of the MyKnee Patient-Matched
Technology to provide the surgeon with preoperative information that can be crucial for a DISCOVER THE KEY FEATURES
successful surgery.[7, 8]
The MyKnee technology combines multiple features to provide benefits for patients, surgeons, and
healthcare facilities.
The surgeon can check, evaluate, modify, and validate the planning on the MyKnee web-based platform. Once the
planning is validated by the surgeon, the MyKnee engineer designs the patient-matched guides, which are then
produced via the in-house 3D printing manufacturing process and then delivered to the hospital. ACCURATE IMPLANT POSITIONING
With the patient-matched cutting guides or pin-positioning
guides, it is possible to accurately replicate the preoperative
planning. This results in an optimized implant positioning
compared to the standard conventional approach.[8] When used
during revision surgeries, the guides also allow for maintaining
CT OR MRI SCAN OF THE the reference for bone landmarks even after removal of the
PATIENT’S KNEE primary implant.[9]

• The MyKnee Crossover adapters allow for coupling the MyKnee cutting blocks with instruments of the GMK stems and other revision components are also planned (e.g., offsets, augments, 3D Metal Cones).
Revision System for guiding the finishing of the femur and tibia.
A set of 3D-printed pin-positioning guides are positioned directly on the implant in situ (both fixed and mobile
bearing) to guide the implant removal. The guides also allow for proper placement of reference pins for the revision
instrument to guide the position of the final implants according to the preoperative planning, thus facilitating the
MYKNEE CROSSOVER REVISION management of the case in a straightforward manner.
