DISTRICT SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FAIR 2024

1. In reference to the DM No. 19, s. 2024 on Division Science & Technology Fair
2024 thru the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), the District Learning
Cluster II – A supports and announces the conduct of this activity on
September 20, 2O24 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at San Jose National High
School with the theme: “Siyensiya, Teknolohiya at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa
Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan.”

2. The District Science Fair 2024, aims to:

a. integrate science in other learning areas promoting creativity and innovations

b. prepare teachers and learners for the different science-related activities
c. develop essential research skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving and
promote innovation and creativity of science education in our daily lives.
d. select potential learners to represent the district in the division contest.

3. To facilitate the conduct of the District Science Fair 2024, participants are requested
to observe the guidelines of the different contest categories stipulated in the division
memorandum.

4. School heads and participants are advised to make necessary arrangements in

adherence to the No-Disruption of Classes Policy as stipulated in DepEd Order
No. 9, s. 2005, Instituting Measures to Increase Engage Time-on-Task and
Ensuring Compliance Therewith.

5. Participants in this activity are the Public Schools District Supervisor, School
Heads, Science Department /Grade Chairpersons, school winners, and
winning coaches.

6. A registration fee of Php 100.00 will be collected from each participant to defray
food expenses and other materials needed chargeable against the school
canteen fund under the School Operations, or MOOE subject to the usual
accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

7. In line with this activity, a virtual meeting with the School Heads, and Science
Department Chairpersons will be conducted on September 19, 2024, at 1:30
PM onwards to present the mechanics, and criteria and to finalize the
Technical Working Group.
