Being Assertive in a Relationship


The best communication style for building healthy relationships is assertive communication. Effective
assertive communication uses I-statements to express feelings and desires in a respectful manner. Reference
Figure 3.5 in the textbook to review the use of I-statements. Respond to the following scenarios in a
