Assignment 1: LIL 1: Problem-Solving Techniques


Reflection on LinkedIn learning: Problem-solving Techniques

Problem solving was one of my weak point whether it’s academic or professional group. But
after the learning tutorial I found one of the easiest way to find a quick solution which is five
why, and I have been using this since so long but I was not really aware that this is the problem
solving technique. Moving ahead I discover about the combination of logic and emotion during
the decision-making process. This is actually useful for me while making long term decision. For
instance, when I decided to move abroad for my future which is long term decision. If I think
logically this is one of the best decision to embrace my self and learn something new but
emotionally I didn’t want to move away from my family and friends. And at this stage I include
more people to make a decision and all suggested to move ahead for my future.

Additionally, when I was working with on one the group assignment our assignment requires to
find a solution for our problem where we as a group sit down and wrote down an each and every
idea we got in our mind on a paper and we were told to not judge any of the ideas. After that we
sorted the ideas as per the category and came up with the amazing idea which also defines our
creative mind. During the same project work we created a mind map which was very helpful for
us at the end of semester to catch up what we did during the learning.

After learning from the tutorial, I try to prepare my academic schedule as per my understanding
on the unit, assignment due date and my working schedule. Moreover, I am trying to use this on
my work place as well to make my mind quick with techniques.
