1. Product: Medical Imaging Film SD-Q, SD-QM

2. Composition:
All products in this category are manufactured by coating photosensitized materials composed
of additives (including silver halides) and binding agents etc., onto Polyethylene terephthalate
film base. The important ingredients are listed below.

3. Health and safety hazards:


This product does not cause health and safety hazards under normal handling and use (the type
of use originally intended by the manufacturer).
MEK (Methyl ethyl ketone) is emitted from the processing machine during heat processing.
However exhausted amount of MEK is always below a few ppm. (cf. OSHA PEL(MEK): 200ppm,
ACGIH TLV (MEK): 200ppm). In the case that odor is strong and unpleasant, good general ventilation is
recommended.

4. Fire hazards and fire fighting measure:


Flash point: 390 ℃ (Polyethylene terephthalate )
Ignition point: 508 ℃ (Polyethylene terephthalate)
Combustion gases: Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, fumes and small amount of nitrogen oxides,
sulfur oxides, etc. will generate depending on the burning condition.
Fighting measures: Water spray, carbon dioxide, extinguishing powder or foam is used as an
extinguishing medium. While fire fighting, wear protective equipment such as self-breathing
apparatus depending on the fire situation.

5. Disposal considerations:
In general, it is recommended to have waste photographic film be separated from other waste
stream to bring them into any available recycling system or appropriate waste disposal in
accordance with the regional regulations.

6. Transportation and storage considerations:


This product is not subject to dangerous material classification and labeling pertaining to
transportation and storage. In situations involving the transportation of silver-containing waste film
across international boundaries, applicable permissions and confirmations by pertinent authorities
may be required based on the applicable regulations of the country of export or import of the waste.
