A1: The Daily Telegraph.

Q2: What was the important news that Fogg read in the newspaper?
A2: 55 thousand English pounds were robbed from the Bank of London.

Q3: What was strange about the robbery?


A3: Noone saw who stole the money. It happened in mysterious way.

Q4: What was strange about the bank? – What made the robbery easy?
A4: There were no guards in the bank.

A5: A young well-dressed gentleman.

Q6: Where did Fogg use to go everyday?


A6: He used to go to the Reform Club.

A7: They played cards while drinking tea.

A13: Because he believed that nothing was impossible and be also thought that travelling

A15: Because they thought that travelling around the world in eighty days is impossible and
he thought it is possible.

A16: He felt angry or annoyed because he is a proud man.

A17: Because he is a proud man and they laughed at him. To prove to them that they are
wrong and he is right. Because he believed that nothing was impossible.

A26: He felt tired of travelling from place to place and he wanted to work in a normal stable
