FOREWORD
Internship is a phase of learning wherein a graduate is expected to apply his knowledge in
practice and acquire medical, behavioral and attitudinal skill under supervision so that he is
able to function independently in practice at the end of internship.

In order to ensure a structured pattern of internship, which can be assessed and

monitored objectively, it was decided by the authorities to maintain logbook for interns.

The purpose of this logbook is to facilitate learning during their posting. It explains the
objectives of the programme, rules and regulation, as well as the expectations from them. This
will also help us in evaluating the programme and deciding whether the internship has
achieved its objectives or not. We hope this logbook will go a long way in achieving the
