a. What is the mean and standard deviation?
b. What is the standard error mean?
c. What is the mean difference?
d. At α = 0.01, can we conclude that the average cost is 24? Find a
99% confidence interval. (Make a report).

2. You want to compare the final exam scores between two groups of
students: males and females.
Males: 78, 82, 85, 90, 88, 76
Females: 84, 79, 85, 92, 87, 81
a. At α = 0.05, Conduct an independent-samples t test to compare the
average scores of male and female students?
b. Interpret the results based on the p-value and find a 95%
confidence interval (Make a report).
3. A researcher is testing three techniques to improve student focus:
reading, meditation, and listening to music. The following are the test
scores recorded after using each technique.
Reading: 85, 88, 90, 87, 85
Meditation: 78, 80, 82, 81, 79
Music: 92, 90, 95, 93, 94
a. At α = 0.01 Conduct a One-Way ANOVA to test if there are
significant differences among the three techniques?
b. Test if it is significant differences are found to determine where the
differences?
c. Interpret the results based on the p-value and Find a 99%
confidence interval (Make a report).

4. Data: A researcher wants to know if there is a relationship between


blood type and fitness level (low, medium, high) among students.
Blood Type A: Low: 30, Medium: 50, High: 20
Blood Type B: Low: 25, Medium: 45, High: 30
Blood Type O: Low: 40, Medium: 35, High: 25
a. Enter the data into SPSS with one column for blood type, one for
fitness level, and a third column for frequencies?
b. At α = 0.01 Conduct a Chi-Square Test of Independence to test if
there is an association between blood type and fitness level?
c. Interpret the results based on the p-value (Make a report).
