Explanations
1. a;
The expression P ÷ M × R – Z + Q can be drawn as given below:

From the above diagram, its clear that P is the son of Q.

Hence, option A is the correct answer.

5. Certainty
1. Certificate
3. Cervical
Hence, Option C is the correct answer.
3. b;
After carefully observing the figures given in the question and answers, it is very clear that the
question figure given is embedded in the answer figure(B). It is shown as given below:

Hence, option B is the correct answer.

4. b;
Logic is:
KOQMC/LOQMC/MOQMC/NOQMC
Hence, option B is the correct answer.
5. b;
Saturn is a Planet. Cadmium is a chemical element.
so, the best representation is:

Hence, option B is the correct answer.

6. b;
As given in the figure, we need to fold it in a cross paper folding manner and Option B would appear
when unfolded.

Hence, option B is the correct answer.

7. b;
Except Director, all are political posts. Director makes movie.
Hence, option B is the correct answer.
8. a;
As,
(13+3)2=162=256
Similarly,
(23+3)2=262=676
Hence, option A is the correct answer.

9. c;
Pattern is: number of curved arrow is increasing in the order:
+1, +2, +3,…..
So, the next figure is:

Hence, Option C is the correct answer.

10. a;
In a plane mirror, a mirror image is a reflected duplication of an object that appears almost identical,
but it is reversed in the direction perpendicular to the mirror surface. As an optical effect it results
from reflection of substances such as a mirror or water.

Hence, option A is the correct answer.

11. a;
Let A=26, B=25, C=24,……………..Z=1
REFUSAL = R(9)E(22)F(21)U(6)S(8)A(26)L(15)
=107,
107-7=100
and
SHORTEN= S(8)H(19)O(12)R(9)T(7)E(22)N(13) = 90,
90-7=83
similarly,
INERTIA = I(18)N(13)E(22)R(9)T(7)I(18)A(26) =113,
113-7=106
Hence, option A is the correct answer.
12. c;
By checking option(a):
Given expression is:
14 + 12 × 18 ÷ 6 – 12 = 6
After interchanging signs:
14 - 12 × 18 ÷ 6 + 12 = 6
On solving,
14 - 12 × 18 ÷ 6 + 12 = 6
or, 14 - 12 × 3 + 12 = 6
or, 26 - 36 = 6
or, -10=6
So its not correct option.
By checking option(b):

Given expression is:

14 + 12 × 18 ÷ 6 – 12 = 6
After interchanging signs:
14 + 12 × 18 - 6 ÷ 12 = 6
on solving,
14 + 12 × 18 - 6 ÷ 12 = 6
Here 6 is perfectly not divisible by 12.
So its not correct option.
By checking option(c):
Given expression is:
14 + 12 × 18 ÷ 6 – 12 = 6
After interchanging signs:
14 + 12 ÷ 18 × 6 – 12 = 6
On solving,
14 + 12 ÷ 18 × 6 – 12 = 6
or, 14 + 4 – 12 = 6
or, 18 – 12 = 6
or, 6=6
So its correct option.
as, we found the correct answer, so no need to check more options.
Hence, option C is the correct answer.
13. c;

There are total 15 triangles in all;

ABD, ABC, ACD, AEI, AEG, AGI, AJN, AJL, ALM, JQR, NTS, BJK, BEF, DMN, DHI,
Hence, Option C is the correct answer.
14. d;

Hence, option D is the correct answer.

15. b;

so, None of the conclusions follow.

Hence, option B is the correct answer.
16. c;
As,
12 x 3 = 36
and
12 x 11 = 132
All option except option C follow this logic -
18 x 3 = 54
But, 18 x 11 = 198
Hence, option C is the correct answer.
17. b;
Pattern is:
(1+1)*1=2
(2+1)*2=6
(6+1)*3=21
(21+1)*4=88
(88+1)*5=445
Hence, option B is the correct answer.
18. b;
As,
War results destruction.
Similarly,
Cyclone results devastation.
Hence, option B is the correct answer.
19. c;

Hence, option C is the correct answer.

20. b;
As,
sweater is made up of wool.
Similarly,
Prism is made up of Glass.
Hence, option B is the correct answer.
21. b;
An online entrance exam was conducted in 250 centres all over a country. The average number of
applicants per centre was found to be 1250.
Total number of applicants=250*1250=312,500
However, it was later realised that in one centre, the number of applicants was counted as 1758
instead of 1658.
average number of applicants per centre=[312500-(1758-1658)]/250
=[312500-100]/250
=312400/250=1249.6
Hence, option B is the correct answer.
22. c;
We know that:
In an ordinary year, there are 365 days and on dividing 365 by 7,
 We get remainder = 1 so this extra one day is taken as odd day.
Similarly, in an leap year, there are 366 days and on dividing 366 by 7,
 we get remainder = 2 so this extra two days is taken as odd days.
Thus, the remainder, which we get after dividing the number of days by 7 is considered as odd
days.
Given 21 March 2007 is a Wednesday.
Since 2007 is a non-leap year.
 Number of odd days from the year 2007 to the year 2015 = (1 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1)
= 11
Number of odd days from 2007 to 2015 = 11 ÷ 7 = 4 odd days
∴ On 21 March 2015, it was Wednesday + 4 = Sunday
Total number of days in month:
 Total days in month = March = 31, April = 30 days, May = 31
We have to consider 10 days of March (remaining), 30 days of April, 24 days of May = 10 + 30 + 24
 Number of days = 64 days
Number of odd days of remaining days from 21 March 2015 to 25 May 2015 = 64 ÷ 7 = 1 Odd day

∴ On 21 March 2015, it was Sunday + 1 Odd day = Monday

∴ Here, 25th May 2015, it is 'Monday'.
Hence, the correct answer is "Monday".
23. c;
The Formula used here is:
Angle = |(11/2) M - 30 H|
Where, M = minutes and H = hours
Here, M = 35 and H = 9
Therefore, we get the angle = |(11/2) M - 30 H|
Angle = |(11/2) × 35 - 30 × 9|
Angle = |192.5 - 270| = |-77.5|
Hence, the correct answer is "77.5⁰".
24. b;

Hence, "Sravya" sits to the immediate right of Prem.

25. a;

From the above diagram, it is clear that DE = 40 m and OE = 30 m.

OD is the shortest distance between Dileep's home and the park.
Use Pythagoras theorem to find the distance OD.
(Hypotenuse)2 = (Base)2 + (Perpendicular)2
Here, Hypotenuse = OD, Base = DE and Perpendicular = OE
⇒ (OD)2 = (DE)2 + (OE)2
⇒ (OD)2 = (40)2 + (30)2
⇒ (OD)2 = 1600 + 900
⇒ (OD)2 = 2500
⇒ OD = 2–√5002500
⇒ OD = 50 m
Therefore, the shortest distance between Dileep's home and the park is 50 m.
Hence, the correct answer is 50 m.
