TextSpeak™ text synthesis modules speak directly with
ASCII input

TextSpeak Text-To-Speech processor converts ASCII text to a


natural, voice with unlimited vocabulary. It is the first board level
solution that generates speech directly from UART serial and
RS-232 input

Text may be continuously sent to the TTS-06 using SOFTWARE (ctrl
q/s) RS-232 handshaking (flow control).

IMPORTANT: Use lowercase or sentence case for normal speech


(To spell letters directly, separate by spaces, such as A B C or I B M)

The last character in a text message MUST be an ASCII 13 to trigger


an end of text sequence!

LOW LEVEL COMMANDS


Commands MUST be capital letters and entered in a single line

LANGUAGE AND VOICE GENDER SETUP

The TS-06 is capable of supporting 2 voice styles as well as English


and Spanish languages. Selecting these may be made by entering a
special “Setup Mode”

The ‘BTS’ command sequence enables “Setup Mode”

Press “E” to alternate language between English and Spanish.


(For Spanish, the “ñ” key is mapped at the English “;” key)

Press “V” to alternate voices between Female and Male.

Press “F” to restore all original factory volume and voice settings.

Press “S” to save settings. This stores the current voice and language
setting in memory. The current selection of volume and speech rate
will also be saved and used as the new power up default setting.

TTS-06 optional mini-motherboard provides all the
connections for test and evaluation of your TTS-06
module.
