CONDITIONALS - EXERCISES

Exercise 1. Put the verbs in brackets into the right tense.

1. If I (have) enough money I (spend) three months in the south of France next summer.

2. If he (ask) you for the money yesterday, what you (say) ?

4. He has lost his ticket. He won't be allowed to enter the theatre.

5. They didn't catch the thief. Otherwise he would be in prison now.

6. He must smoke. He asked for an ashtray.

7. She isn't trustworthy. Otherwise she would never have revealed your secret.

8. He's not very clever. He'll never get ahead in his job.

9. It’s great she is doing that job. She knows much about computers.

10. Why didn’t you borrow the money? I would do it in your place.

11. You need to work harder. Otherwise you will get the sack.

12. He didn’t get there on time. He didn’t have a bicycle.
