1 OVERVIEW

This document will detail the business processes for the organisation which define the “to-be” system.

Describe the business process shown in the process diagram and give some context
based on the actors involved and the outcome expected.

2.1.1 Description
A user visits the website and browses the Online Store looking for a product. The user selects a product
and adds it to the Shopping Cart. The user attempts to proceeds to Checkout. The system offers a
registered User (a Customer) an opportunity to login and offers a non-registered User (not a registered
Customer) an opportunity to create an account. Once a Customer is logged in the Checkout process can
proceed. The system will then update the Stock Level.

2.1.2 Actors
List the actors which are involved in this business process. Clearly identify which actor is the
primary actor.

 Customer - actor
 User - Possibly a Customer
 System - Primary actor

If the primary actor is a user, define the role within the organization that the user plays during
the activity.
