Part B (8 Marks)
1. Using mesh analysis, find the power absorbed by 50 Ω resistor.

200 V, 50 Hz. Find the (i) impedance, current, power factor and phase angle and (ii)
The voltage across resistor and across capacitor.
b) Draw the voltage and current wave form of the pure inductor and capacitor circuit.
3. Find the power consumed by 2 ohm resistor using superposition theorem
4. a) A circuit is having resistance R in series with a capacitor C. An ac voltage is applied
to this circuit. Derive equations for voltage, current, impedance and power factor.

5. Using Superposition theorem, calculate the current through the 17 Ω resistor.

6. Find the current flowing through 50 Ω resistor in the circuit shown below using super
