Dear Parents,
Here are few tasks for your ward to be completed during the vacation. Do remember to complete the given tasks after
reading them carefully. You need to bring the work to school on the first day of school without fail.

Some Tips to make this holiday special:


● Have a family dinner every day of the holidays.
● Play board games with your parents and siblings and show them who is the
smartest.
● Be independent and learn to do some work on your own.
● Spend some quality time with an elderly person in the family.
● Connect with all your cousins and friends.

Useful tips for summer vacation


Do’s and Don’ts during summer vacation:

Do’s:
 Drink lots of water.
 Wear light cotton clothes.
 Have plenty of seasonal fruits like muskmelon, watermelon, Orange,
cucumber, etc.
 Drink a glass of buttermilk every mealtime.
 Study for half an hour to one hour every day.
 Explore various games.
 Keep yourself and your surroundings clean and hygienic.
 Play indoor/outdoor games and have a good time with your family members.

Don’ts:
 Don’t have too much of junk food.
 Don’t watch too much TV.
 Don’t dirty your place of living.
Practice one page of cursive writing with proper strokes, every alternate day. Do it in the holiday HW
notebook.

Learn all the work done in the English Literature notebook. Also, practice the grammar topics.

CREATIVE TIME
Make a beautiful table mat on an A4 SHEET. Write a paragraph about your FAVOURITE CITY on it using
the different nous (common noun, proper noun, abstract noun) and highlight the nouns. Also, paste a
beautiful picture of that city.

BOOK REVIEW

Enjoy reading story books by renowned authors during the summer vacation. Present a book review on
any one book you liked the most. It should be based on:
1. Book Title and Author
2. The characters from the story
3. The main story line
4. Which character did you like the most and why?
5. The summary of the story
6. Any paintings/sketch/pictures depicting the characters or any part of the story
7. Also decorate a book cover for the same book and paste it in your holiday homework notebook

Let’s have some fun with words.

Write a story using the above mentioned words using your imagination. You can paste/ draw the scenes
related to your story.

1. Make a model of an ABACUS using beads and sticks for 6-digit numbers. (six place values)

2. Make a card board WALL CLOCK by using Roman Numbers.


3. Write your family members date of birth by using Roman numerals.(for ex. 12-06-2014, XII-VI-MMXIV)
4. Make a clown, a tree and a train by using geometrical shapes by using colour papers.

Note: Use your own creativity and make different pictures.

5. Learn and write Multiplication tables up to 15.

NOTE: Q. no. 3, 4 & 5 do in white A4 size sheets and file it properly.


1. Paste photographs of your family members in a 'Family Tree' and write your relations with them.
2. Draw the pictures of all the five sense organs and write their functions. Also write a short note about
how to take care of the sense organs.
3. Draw the pictures of 2-Outdoor Games and 2-Indoor Games. Also write their rules of playing with
number of players, advantages and importance of particular game.
4. Write five lines about five activities in school and their benefits. Paste pictures of the activities too.

NOTE: *Complete the EVS assignment work in scrapbook.

*Submit it after the school reopens.
